Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, Johnny Cash if we keep it in the english language. Otherwise there is Edith Piaf, Rosenstolz and Lars Winnerbäck from France, Germany, Sweden. Just a few examples. But i agree with some previous posts here that Springsteen is overrated. Some good songs but not enough to live up to his rep. It's probably not their best song - Just happen to love it because it's very RAW and very HARSH! Powerful (to me) -

I like Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks, but I'm right there with you on 'The Boss'.Fleetwood Mac.
Especially Stevie Nicks who gets on my last nerve...
Just mentioned my top three in english. I listen to a lot of different kind of music but i am kind of allergic to rap. Don't like it.I love "I Am A Rock" and "The Boxer" and think "Ring of Fire" is awesome!
Of course I love the Beatles too but they have so many stand out songs.....
OMG. If I hear that Happy song again I am going to be very UNhappy!!!
Also that song from Frozen. Let it Go? Something like that. I would love to let it go straight into the depths of the ocean....
Add to that Stairway to Heaven, Hey, Jude and Imagine among the songs that have been played to death and now I can hardly stand listening to them because of it."Knights in White Satin", Moody Blues. Another example of too much of a good thing.
I would MUCH rather hear her version!!My granddaughter, Kat, will 'sing' Let It Go. Her version is funny! She can't say the words yet, but she does the hand out gesture. Cracks me up.
Hey hey! I'm not threatening those who dissed on Van the Man or AC/DC! (Van is brilliant when he's on--which isn't always, I know--and AC/DC is the best bar band ever. They never grew up, and I like them that way )You guys are killing me!
I can maybe see your point on some Rush and Floyd stuff but not the Doors.
I'm covering my ears and running from this thread. It's puttng this dog in a fighty-bitey mood!
Whole Lotta Love, Satisfaction...Add to that Stairway to Heaven, Hey, Jude and Imagine among the songs that have been played to death and now I can hardly stand listening to them because of it.

Sounds like a threat to me....I'm not threatening. Just stating what this thread is doing to my psyche!
When I get home I'm going to load up my CD player with some Springsteen, Doors, Led Zep, Floyd, Rush, early Pearl Jam and Nirvana. And play it LOUD! Make my neighbors hate me even more. They're lucky my guitar amp is at the studio otherwise I'd be cranking that up too!
You can diss the Beatles but not my Paul McCartney!I can't say the Beatles, but, I'll be bold and go out there to say I don't care for
Paul McCartney & Wings or Paul MCartney (solo)
No I can't.You can diss the Beatles but not my Paul McCartney!
