Yeah, me too. But if I owned one it'd have to be .50cal. How many .50cal autos are even made? What I'd buy before that though would be a Dirty Harry S&W .44mag just like in the movie. I've got three .44mags now, a Colt Anaconda, a Dan Wesson, and a Ranch Hand or Mare's Leg.
...none other than the Eagle that I can think of right off...

Yep, .50 cal was fun to shoot, but unless I was independently wealthy or a gun collector, something like that, it isn't a very efficient weapon. You definitely know you are holding a powerful handgun. Lot of weight to it. We rented one out in Las Vegas a few years back while we were at a class. There's a gun shop/shooting range out there, can't remember what it was called, but you can rent just about anything short of a rocket launcher and test fire it. We split the rental and a few boxes of ammo three ways so it wasn't too bad. I wanted to rent and test fire a SAW, but I couldn't get the other two dopes I was with to go in with me on it. I guess your boy could fill us in on the specifics of that weapon. Hope he's well btw sir.
...it's what he carries when he "unasses" from the Humvee...loves it!....

I live in kentucky an the answer is no,we dont wear the stetson hats.yes most of us do carry guns because we can and enjoy that freedom to do so and we do speak with an accent. Im in law enforcement myself and can tell you its not like the show and if it were the det or officer or whoever hes suppose to be would already be in jail himself.

When the British Government changed the gun laws thousands of historically interesting guns were just scrapped, including some flint lock pistols, such a shame...

When the Japanese lost the war and the American occupation began, weapons in Japan were confiscated. Swords that were timeless works of art and of impactful historical significance were thrown to scrap and melted down. Sigh.

Unfortunately I have never had the opportunity to visit The USA.
I am part way through a TV series called Justified, it is about a US Marshall and is set in Kentucky.
My question is, are the southern states of America actually as portrayed on TV and in films? Lots of guns. Tall slim men in Stetsons and attractive s**y ladies.

I've never watched that show . . .so, I'm not sure what you have come to believe We Southern Folks are like. I will tell you this though, if you were to visit my home you would be most welcomed and well fed. By the time you leave my house the weight of your well fed satisfaction would led a path to your overly indulged whereabouts.

And, I can assure you that if the need arises I would shoot the lashes off any ******* that attempted to bring about harm to you while you are in my company, kind gentleman!

I give you my word as a Southern Lady that if you would be so gracious as to visit my home . . .you shall be well protected. And fed!

Yeah . . .I'm trippin'!
