Amanda Plummer!!!! YES!!!!!!!I liked the three mains (my mind immediately cast Russell Crowe, Amanda Plummer, and Donald Glover-lol). Kind of iffy on the dreaded trilogy, but if anyone can pull it off successfully, it would be Mr. King.
Trilogy, eh? These may be the first two books of his I pass on.
I started to not like it because, to me at least, it was too Koontz-ish. But then I started paying attention to the writing that I that makes it a King and I began to appreciate it a lot more. And so far I'm really enjoying it.Trilogy, eh? These may be the first two books of his I pass on.
Too Koontz=ish? Show me where the supernaturally gifted Golden Retreiver is....I started to not like it because, to me at least, it was too Koontz-ish. But I also can't read anything that's not King. I feel like it would be disrespectful to my favorite author. Heck, I'll even read about baseball because of him. Ick.
And I'm glad I do because I always find something in what he writes to like.
Sorry, sorry!! 80's/90's Koontz. Back when I liked his style!!Too Koontz=ish? Show me where the supernaturally gifted Golden Retreiver is....

...I'll alert his psychotherapist...Trilogy, eh? These may be the first two books of his I pass on.
...as long as Odell becomes a Golden Retriever, the next installment takes place on an "abandoned" military base and Hodges is saddled with the ghost of Elvis....
...so would I, just to see what Unca Steve would do with Koontz's stock in trade....Jokes on you, I know you were being facetious but I would read the heck out of that...
I think that if people are serious King fans, they can see the King in Mr. Mercedes pretty easily. I'm actually enjoying the change of pace! I'm tearing through it.Let's all remember Mr. Mercedes is a june release, therefore a "beach read." It's supposed to be a fun thrill ride. The more "serious" releases are left for later in the year. I trust Revival will be the more "classic King." With a hot commodity like SK, It's all about the marketing.
Crowe would be perfect, too--Chubby him up (like he was in Body of Proof), put some grey in his hair... He's got that world-weariness down, and himAmanda Plummer!!!! YES!!!!!!!
