Hello and good morning to you all! We are back from vacation...Ha I think I am more tired from vacation than regular activities!! I just wanted to stop in and wish you all a great day. I am off to tackle some household chores and shopping. School starts here in about two weeks! Hugs to you all.

I have been working hard again at sorting/tossing/cleaning. Have 2 boxes of clothes to pass on to a friend for his daughter and a big pile of stuff to haul to the dump. It is a 1 step forward, 2 steps back kinda thing! But I am making progress.
Had to go to the courthouse yesterday and buy replacement stickers for Scott's license plates. For some unknown reason, Ali decided the stickers didn't need to be on the plates, and peeled them off.
Days ago, she did this, it was a wonder he didn't get pulled over. She didn't tell us until Monday night, though, after Evan noticed they were gone. She just waltzed in and said she took them off for him. I think she really thought she had done him a favor.
Normal chores on the agenda for me today, and trying to amp up to finish sorting through the storage under the stairs. Would like to get it done so we are only making one trip to the dump. Might not happen today, though.

Nope, it was only $6 to get a replacement set, thank goodness! He did have to show his registration and proof of insurance again, though.Oh, jeez--kids!
Phew! That had me thinking how easy it could be for someone to steal the tags so they wouldn't get stopped. Lots more trouble if they did, but if you're the kind that would do that to begin with, probably not a deterrent. Yeah, you are right! I think that is how she got it off in the first place, because it was just on top of multiple previous year stickers, and she got a hold of it that way. She actually got 2 off, the tag that was showing was 2013. She didn't get it off in one piece, though, they are a little perforated, are they like that everywhere? But they did tear. She just threw them in the trash.
Kids! The things they come up with! I checked my car plates, just to make sure, even though she said she only took them off the pickup. Who knows how long it would have been if Evan hadn't noticed, it isn't one of those things you think about regularly, only when they're due! Probably wouldn't have known until he did get pulled over.

Oh, oh. Uh... The guy on the left is wearing a fireman's jacket, so I'll guess one of those abysmal disaster movies? The Towering inferno, maybe?
I actually watched it a few times, back in the day. Scenes like them tying some poor woman to a chair and trying to lower her down, things like that. Same thing with "Earthquake." There was a huge market for disaster movies at the time. I guess there still is, but that particular brand of cheesy 70's flicks is a genre unto itself.
