Hey Sunny. Is his hair meant to look like that? If so I don't need that expensive coiffure, mine's like that every morning!

Breathing day! Swimming lessons are over, so I have a bit of time before I do the shopping for the week and try to get some order to this casa before the weekend :) My Saturday cleared up a little--I still have to get my room ready for CCD (religious ed), and get DD#2 to her play, but I was wrong about the BBQ--that's next weekend, thank goodness, and LilMan has a release from his play duties (he only has 3 lines in Twelfth Night, so the director okayed him skipping out for his day at the lake and sleepover :D)

Who wants raspberry scones and coffee?

Morning! It has been a crazy week here. Hubby burned his eyes at work Tues and spent Tues night and most of Wed in agony. He doesn't know how it happened, but he got it good. They are feeling better now, finally.

There have been men on the street all week, they are redoing sidewalks. Mine is torn out and only a small section redone, they have stuff torn up so much, some people can't even get in/out of their driveways. No street parking while this is going on, either. So my street is a mess right now.

I went out and got groceries already, was hoping to get it done before I couldn't get out. So that's done! Need to get after chores pretty quick.

Hope you all have a great weekend! Big hugs and positive vibes to all! :love_heart:

Wow, CAT!! Glad he didn't get hurt worse. Was it some sort of chemical?
No, welding flash. He was welding all day, back to back with his partner. Somehow he got flashed, but never realized it, usually he knows. It had to have been happening all day, as bad as they were. Partner's eyes were fine, so I don't know, must have been bouncing off the boom they were working on at just the right angle to sneak in under his hood and safety glasses.

I hate when it happens because there is nothing I can do to help.

Yup. Welding is a darn dangerous job! My uncle and brother have both dealt with zinc poisoning from stuff sneaking under the welding mask. My uncle retired with disability because of lead poisoning (he'd been a welder and welding teacher for a very long time, from before safety standards got more stringent). Hope your husband feels better soon!

Thanks! He had days off Wed and Thurs, so that helped. Was supposed to work OT Wed, and yesterday he did have to go out for a safety refresher class, (already scheduled before this, not because of this, part off his annual class ;-D) but he is feeling lots better today. The swelling and redness is almost all gone. Hope he isn't welding again today, though! I think they need a little more healing time.

;-D Those are all normal duties!

Most I could do is keep bringing him ice. I need to come up with some kind of pain relief or something for flash burns, I would make us a fortune! ;)
