Good morning! So very glad to see Oh!Oh!Oh! back in the house!
Wimpy storms heading our way. I hope we get something exciting.
I've had a stomach thing since 3am Monday but better today though. Didn't get to wear my Bad Sandy get up to work: I was ashen. I'm dressing in gray again today to honor my demise. I survived though: ginger ale and candy canes.
Trying to get our taxes done today - I want my money back!
Have a good Tuesday. I'm not buying the groundhog's prediction one bit.

You can always write a story........hint, hint :)

That's actually my plan.

I've got the three titles out. I've got a short novel that I'm 50/50 on trying to shop out or saying, wth, just publish it (after I figure out the cover art). I've got the Big Important Novel that I am definitely shopping out until the rejections wear me down. So part of the day goes to the weary query letters.

On deck, already started, are two stories of probable book length, one a science-fiction-y yarn with fairly current science (think Robin Cook, Michael Crichton) and an apocalypse tale which is a sociology statement (think: DiO and Grandpa find themselves as the seemingly sole survivors, until others start showing up). My writing group tells me that the apocalypse tale sounds more intriguing and, well, more marketable. And that's the one that's also writing itself at the moment. So I'll probably work on that one.

One advantage: Due to my professional background, typing 100 wpm is agonizingly slow. So if I buckle down and ignore social media, I could just zip right along. As if.

For me this would be a mandatory do not get out of jammies day. I love those kind of days.

I hope this is acceptable and not considered too self-aggrandizing. You reminded me of an exchange within a story of mine:

“You’re going to be late,” she said.
He stretched. “I’m telecommuting today.”
“Oh, you mean you’re sitting at your computer in your pajamas, unshowered and stinky.”
“Well, we’re both saying the same thing, right? Except what do I need pajamas for?”

But anyway, YES, I couldn't stay in pajamas because I availed myself of the breakfast in the hotel downstairs, a step outside to take a picture of my snow-covered car, and added a couple trips to the coffee urn in the lobby. I mean, I could've done all that in PJs, but.... no, just no.
