«««««After many sleepless nights and days filled with the torture of listening to my neighbor's dogs bark, all day and all night, the city finally charged the guy. We were supposed to go to court last month, but that was the exact day that I blew out a gut and ended up in the ER. Figures.
Today, we do it again. This evening, after traffic court, I'll appear as a witness for the city against the guy. I have a whole suitcase full of binders of DVDs containing hours upon hours of videos of the dogs yapping at all hours. And I'm printing out a journal that details everything on those videos as we speak, as well as a snarky text the neighbor sent me showing that the thinks he's untouchable and suggesting that I move. I'm bringing all of it. And neighbors on all sides will be there, too, saying how miserable the whole neighborhood is. I'm not convinced anything will happen to the guy, though, regardless of the preponderance of evidence and testimony. They guy's mom works at town hall. She'll be sitting behind the bench as the court recorder, or some such. And the guy's uncle/cousin/whatever sits on the city council. I'll be surprised if I don't walk out of court with a charge for stalking, or some such for videotaping the dogs.
Wish me luck, dear Ka-Tet. I can use all the good vibes I can get.
Those two are a conflict of interest; they shouldn`t even be there and if they are the fact should be pointed out to the court right at the start.
You are well prepared in every sense plus having witnesses (neighbours) there who are not happy either. There should not be a problem in
ending this noise, one way or another. I`ll be thinking of you; let us know how things go ....
