Haven't been feeling well lately.....had a sinus headache for a week, and now my ears are all stopped up......everything sounds like I'm listening through a paper cup, and the pressure in my ears is awful. I've got a doctor appt in the morning, and a full book at work all week......

Today is my unexpected day off.

On July 25th I showed up for work on a Monday only to discover that I was still supposed to be on vacation!

So I had an extra day left over to use in case I needed it. Today I need it.

Will get a book packaged up to take to the Post Office, will check the mail for my King Kon postcard and just catch up on household chores like laundry, tidying up etc.

I already bought a whole bunch of groceries so now I need to plan something for supper.

Sorry to hear this - maybe try some Benylin for decongestion?

I'll have to wait and see what the doc tells me to take. I'm very sensitive to most of the over the counter medications, so I won't touch them unless told.

I am back. I was wrong, it was just my labs today. They made the appt 6 months ago and I thought it was for both labs and checkup, since we are required to do them around this time of year to qualify for insurance next year.

So it was quick and easy, 2 vials of blood and out of there. I go next Tuesday to do the rest of it.

First sip of coffee was oh so good a minute ago!

So do you know of any good recipes to use up three 2 lb bags of carrots, by the way?

I got a super deal on them this morning - only 15 cents per bag!

I have them in the sink and I'm getting ready to peel them now.

They were supposed to be reduced to 1.99 per bag but the guy knew me and was being nice.

I got a super deal on them this morning - only 15 cents per bag!

I have them in the sink and I'm getting ready to peel them now.

Carrot cake/ muffins or freeze them either blanched or unblanched.

The Wyoming kind! They check everything, cholesterol, thyroid, iron, all that good stuff. It never bothers me though. I have a really good vein in my left arm, so it is always very easy.

I've done everything I can think of......short of visiting the stump, that is

Have your daughter blow into the right one and whatever is blocking the left one will come shooting out, then vice versa. You might want to do this outside and tell her to stop blowing when she hears a high whistling sound. Kinda like the sound the Great Southern makes when leaving Charleston.
