I have no doubt that at least a few were tongue in cheek
People can be pretty clueless, though--I'm looking for a list a friend sent to me a couple of years ago of questions/complaints sent to the Australia Tourist Bureau (or some such entity--not sure I have the name right)--it was HILARIOUS and all true, especially the cheeky responses some of them got in return.

It is raining again here, supposed to most of the day. It is very peaceful sounding. We have gotten a lot over the last week, but only minor flooding. There was a tornado that did not quite make it to the ground Wed night, and we had pea size hail Tues night, but for the most part, it has just been rain, no severe stuff.
Very busy day today. Last day of school! Early release, too. Need to get groceries before the kids get out and RJ gets here.

I will be lucky to even get a handful of them once the Hoovers that are my children see them. Maybe I will get some green ones too and tell them those are theirs, leave the red ones alone.The 4th?

There will be more than grapes in the house, I just don't know what yet. I would benefit greatly from just eating grapes, but I doubt the rest of the house would be very pleased!
