So I am back on. I was tired and getting upset by some of the recent posts. Then I realized that it was just me being annoyed about other things going on this week and last. I was (am) being a brat (bitchin) about everything.

Ex came and took my bed, kitchen set. I never did get that vodoo curse on it.

I am sleeping on a small loveseat with boxes all around.
Move day is Monday.

I will go look at some kitten pictures or some such stuff. :)

I'm glad you didn't slap a curse on it. There's this thing called Karma. What you send out into the universe comes back to you, multiplied. It's hard to wrap the noggin around, but wish everyone well. Even your worst enemy. Not for their sake, but for yours. Took me a long time to really grasp that, but I'm glad I did.

Glad to see you back! You've had some tough times recently, that's for sure. But I think things are going to get better for you. I really really do.

I am too nice to actually do it, but I plotted in my mind.

Thank you Holly. I listened to the whole thing. Made me cry for the very last time about this. :love_heart:

It's gonna be alright.
Aw, I'm sorry it made you cry! It always seems hopeful to me. That's what I was aiming for. It IS going to be alright.

Van Morrison's Moodance CD is one of the few CDs I can listen to start to finish without ever skipping a song. I love everyone one of them.

Can you restate this?

Probably my favorite album, too. :) "Into the Mystic", man... just lovely. I have a TON of Van--interesting, interesting musician.

I spent all day with LilMan's class, then ran him home just in time to run out the door to DD#2's Biology Fair. Then family dinner. Right now, all I want is to sit in a totally silent room (or at least, no speaking) for about a generation. This is one of those days that I really NEED my own apartment--lol.

I will admit a guilty pleasure. Have you seen Dream a Little Dream movie - 1989? That soundtrack is one of my all time favorites.

The Lilacs are starting to bloom...... It is a bit late because it has been so cold but the last couple of days with sun got them going. They are so beautiful... Their smell is..... Fantastic? Wonderful? Enchanting? It is a case of words are not enough. Sigh.....

Ours have passed their prime, but I always enjoy them while they're in bloom :) Lilac is one of my absolute favorite scents, and it's so ephemeral--you can't really cut the flowers (they die very quickly after cutting), so you have to enjoy them while you have them.

Bought a Buick Enclave this weekend. Been driving a 1990 beat up Isuzu Pickup for about ten years, the last couple of years with no air conditioning. The vehicle is entirely too nice for my blue collar arse but my wife likes it quite a bit....I have a feeling I'll be relegated to her Ford Taurus soon....but at least it's got air conditioning...

Made me laugh:
THESE ARE ACTUAL COMPLAINTS RECEIVED BY "THOMAS COOK VACATIONS" FROM DISSATISFIED CUSTOMERS:

1. "On my holiday to Goa in India, I was disgusted to find that almost every restaurant served curry. I don't like spicy food."

2. "They should not allow topless sunbathing on the beach. It was very distracting for my husband who just wanted to relax."

3. "We went on holiday to Spain and had a problem with the taxi drivers as they were all Spanish."

4. "We booked an excursion to a water park but no-one told us we had to bring our own swimsuits and towels. We assumed it would be included in the price."

5. "The beach was too sandy. We had to clean everything when we returned to our room."

6. "We found the sand was not like the sand in the brochure. Your brochure shows the sand as white but it was more yellow."

7. "It's lazy of the local shopkeepers in Puerto Vallartato close in the afternoons. I often needed to buy things during 'siesta' time -- this should be banned."

8. "No-one told us there would be fish in the water. The children were scared."

9. "Although the brochure said that there was a fully equipped kitchen, there was no egg-slicer in the drawers."

10. "I think it should be explained in the brochure that the local convenience store does not sell proper biscuits like custard creams or ginger nuts."

11. "The roads were uneven and bumpy, so we could not read the local guide book during the bus ride to the resort. Because of this, we were unaware of many things that would have made our holiday more fun."

12. "It took us nine hours to fly home from Jamaica to England. It took the Americans only three hours to get home. This seems unfair."

13. "I compared the size of our one-bedroom suite to our friends' three-bedroom and ours was significantly smaller."

14. "The brochure stated: 'No hairdressers at the resort.' We're trainee hairdressers and we think they knew and made us wait longer for service."

15. "When we were in Spain, there were too many Spanish people there. The receptionist spoke Spanish, the food was Spanish. No one told us that there would be so many foreigners."

16. "We had to line up outside to catch the boat and there was no air-conditioning."

17. "It is your duty as a tour operator to advise us of noisy or unruly guests before we travel."

18. "I was bitten by a mosquito. The brochure did not mention mosquitoes."

19. "My fiancée and I requested twin-beds when we booked, but instead we were placed in a room with a king bed. We now hold you responsible and want to be re-reimbursed for the fact that I became pregnant. This would not have happened if you had put us in the room that we booked."
