Not feeling so hot these last days. Sore throat, fever and a runny nose. Add to that a stomach that seems to think both twice and thrice before deciding that "OK, You can stay, i am not gonna send you on the return trip" whaever i eat or drink. Feeling kinda drained. I could handle the sore throat and the runny nose, perhaps even the stomach but the fever got me down. It started small on wednesday evening but grew rather quickly. Hopefully it is gone when the weekend passed. I've been in a horisontal position most of the day. It is one of these end of winter bugs but i don't like it. At all!!
Healing vibes. Lots of flu going around. Rest. Fluids- flat ginger ale soda and cracker for stomach.

Cracker? Is a cheese sandwich ok??
Kurben -- no cheese- plain crackers. Cheese is hard on digestion and add what Scott posted. If you can find adult pedialyte that will help balance the electrolytes .

Great idea. I was doing the Pedialyte while I was sick those weeks. Even bought it to work. Secret chugging the baby stuff from my drawer.
I did not know they had adult versions.

Get the blue one, Kurben.

Better than Gatorade.

Dont even know what Pedialyte is.... Is it a brandname? Might be differently named here perhaps?
Kurben - you can ck a grocery store in the baby section, as the product was first used for babies. Then adults saw the advantages and the company made stronger dosages. It comes in many forms, powder you mix with water, even like a frozen popsicle. Many make ice cubes from the liquid and then crush it to suck on. I see Amazon UK sells the american type and I also found this; They have something in the UK here called Dioralyte which comes in packets and replaces electrolytes.

Oh, my silly younger sister, when will you ever learn????

Comes to my house to visit earlier this evening, makes the mistake of leaving her Facebook account open on my laptop computer after she wanted to show me some "really cool news article" or some crap like that. I've now replied to over 50 of her latest likes, shares, and replies from her friends with "That's What She Said", no matter if the saying applies or not to the post. I'm getting some interesting questions from her friends....lmao.

You have to remind younger siblings sometimes why you're the older sibling...lol

GNT, Musky, you'd both be proud...

Well, I passed an exam for one class, and I'm studying for one in the other. I've been also been reading a great nonfiction book, Meet You in Hell by Les Standiford. It's about the volatile friendship between Andrew Carnegie and Henry Clay Frick. It's grabbed me, and it won't let go. A little textbookish at times, but its portrait of these two individuals is what keeps me turning the pages. Look at me, I'm rambling again. Don't I always?
