Welcome back everyone!

Was a good weekend here. Just stayed home. Not too much time outside, it was darn windy. My aunt and cousin were in town again, this time for my cousin's 2 girls, they were both playing softball. Did not make it over to watch any but my aunt did come by the house for a while in between games on Sunday.

Not supposed to be windy today, finally. So planning on taking the kids out and wearing them out so they take a good nap. ;-D

Hope everyone has a good day! Big hugs and positive vibes to all! :love_heart:

We're back!! I hope everyone had a great, relaxing weekend. We had solid gray gloom and rain from Friday until now, and it's still going strong. Hoping that summer shows up SOON!
Our crazy furnace kicked in yesterday! (Of course we did have the windows open)

Luckily all my plants on the deck have survived (geraniums and marigolds)

Welcome back!

Saturday was Karen, and Sam's anniversary. I watched the kids while they went to dinner, and then a casino.
Yesterday was Larry's birthday. He was 47 years old. I just gave him a visa gift card, cause he is so hard to buy for.
Who is Larry? (If I may ask?) Is this "the love of your life"?

So - glad we are back :m_petals::m_loveu:

I had an interesting experience last night.

Just as I was leaving the hospital a very nice looking, well dressed elderly lady stopped me in the hallway to ask for help.

Long story short - she is 89 years old. Somehow she had mixed up her time and was there for a 10 a.m. appointment with her doctor (this was around 10 p.m. last night).

We started talking and although she had bus fare and was able to take a bus back home, I offered to give her a ride since she lived quite close to my neighborhood.

At first I considered calling Security but once we got talking I could see she was quite cognizant of what was going on around her and had simply fallen asleep earlier, woken up and thought it was the morning (the light can trick you at this time of the year, with the days getting longer).

I could go on and on but to summarize she offered me a cup of coffee or tea and I walked her to her apartment. She invited me in - what a beautiful place!

She is in a 55 plus building.

I left her my name and phone number on a card and wrote down her name and phone number - let's hope we can get together in the future!

It almost feels like meeting her was meant to be. She tells me her daughter is a nurse at HSC, where I work :)
