I have done both of these. My glasses are on top of my head and I'm frantically searching for them and more than likely pissed about it. Getting really dramatic and mouthy. Then having to sheepishly apologize to everyone for my Godzilla rampage.

And yes. Every single time I misplace my phone, it's on silent.

Or you could be ranting to everyone in the house about where your phone might be to have your girlfriend look at you and say "It's in your hand, Einstein. Off to nuclear physics class are we?"


Couple of days later, she's storming around the house looking for her hair clip while getting ready for work. "Um, it's in your hair babe. I'll take the high road here and just tell you I'm glad you found it, your hair looks beautiful this morning, by the way." I kept a straight face and got a hug for my trouble, then laughed about it on the way to work safely out of sight."

I will admit I briefly considered a verbal retaliation for the Einstein comment a couple of days prior but a woman running late on a Monday morning looking for a hair clip while trying to get a 2-year old ready to go to the babysitter....it did not strike me as time to be verbally cute. With age comes wisdom....sometimes...;;D

I am not complaining about the rule. I understand. I just have trouble adjusting to change.

Not yet! Probably turn up in week or a months time or so. But i try to do a little search of some possible places in the weekend. But the thing about my genius places is that i seldom find things that i'm looking for, just things i'm not looking for or when i'm not looking at all. I guess it means i'm good at hiding but terribly bad at seeking.....

School starts in 11 days. I'm bummed for the kids and so totally not ready to get back into the drudgery that is the school year. But it will be Christmas break before we know it.

I'm looking forward to The Dark Tower next week. And Project Runway in the not too distant future.
