Good morning! Hump Day already. This week is flying by.

Well, Scott's surgery is set for November 21. He liked the surgeon a lot. He does have a torn tendon. Rotator cuff damage. (But the surgeon said the rotator cuff is made up of tendons, so does that mean it is one and the same?) Anyway, she will shave off the spur. Clip the tendon where it is torn and reattach it. Clean up the arthritic tissue, the rest of the cuff damage and he also has cysts in there. She said they weren't really "cysts" as they are more dense than a cyst but they need to be removed. Surgery is supposed to last from 4-6 hours and he is going to be off work from 4 1/2-5 months. She said he would feel like a new man but it was going to be a long, hard road to get there.

In my opinion the surgeon sounded cocky. But I suppose that is what you want in situations like this, and her attitude is what Scott responded to the best. No one that we have talked to who has had a surgery done by her has had one single bad thing to say about her, and that is tough to come by here. We got lucky with his previous appointments being cancellations, to get to this point so quickly, with her being his surgeon. Thankful for that.

Going to be a looong, hard winter at my house. It will not take any time at all for him to get frustrated at not working. We just need to keep our eyes on the prize...that he is going to feel better.

Have to go get some groceries today. Just a few chores to take care of. Hope you all have a really great day. Big hugs and positive vibes to all! :love_heart:
Thankful that he likes the surgeon. Yes, you do want someone who's confident. Best wishes to you guys!!

Bad day for me..... Had an epileptic attack in the morning (or night perhaps). Just remember waking up with a head that felt like it was cracked and some bluemarks on my arms (I had managed to turnover some things on my nighttable during the attack). Right now im extremely tired but the headache is almost gone now and its almost 4PM here. Have spent the whole day in bed doing nothing but sleeping or trying to sleep. Then you dont feel how much the head hurts. Probably should get up and try to fix me something to eat soon but i feel too tired at the moment.

Quick recap of my craziness. Sunday, hubby had a fever but refused to go to Patient First. Monday morning he seemed fine, so I came to work. By 11am his fever was back and high (102F) so he took himself to Patient First. Double ear infection and pneumonia. :O_O: So I came home early Monday, fixed dinner for me and kiddo (he only wanted soup) and put him to bed. Not supposed to exert himself, so I stayed home (worked some) and did things like take out the trash can, bring it back and prep the back yard for the guy who is coming to fill in our pool this week. Fun stuff. Then at the end of the day, as I was letting the dog in, I managed to slam my finger in the sliding glass door. HOLY MOTHER THAT HURT!:facepalm_smiley: So, hubby's meds are kicking in, I came back to work and am finding creative ways to type without using my left middle finger. Sheesh! Any good thoughts you have to spare my way would be appreciated! (((Tet-mates)))

P.S. cat in a bag - my hubby was restless after 24 hours. 4.5 months - I'd have to chain him to the freaking couch! Wishing you luck!

I think Charlie Brown is on tonight. Which is what I will be watching. Along with my Little Women. Because, no, I can't watch the debates. If I wanted to watch something mindless, I would watch the debates. But, instead, I will watch something of substance, my Little Women.

And, I'm not sure why Charlie Brown is such a beloved show. Charlie Brown is bullied by adults -- getting rocks in his bag!

Thank you. He will be a bear to deal with, that long off work. He has to be busy all.the.time. So it will be interesting, to say the least!

Hope your hubby gets to feeling better soon! Healing vibes for him and for your finger! Ouch!

I got called Charlie Brown a lot growing up....mostly because I was always tripping over my own feet, wrecking my bike....the trend started early...lol

Rest and allow your body to recuperate. Tons of calming vibes.
