Happy Halloween everyone!

I have been quiet lately. I feel like I only have bad news all the time and so feel like a Debbie Downer. Have really just been trying to throw myself into chores and everything that needs done, just stay busy to keep my mind off everything.

Kids are excited for tonight. Ali is going to be a 50's style girl, with a poodle skirt and Ty (with help from Marti) made a shirt look like a Vault 111 shirt from the Fallout video game. He will wear that with jeans and he made himself a Pip-Boy out of heavy duty construction paper. :D He is so excited about it, having made it himself.

Sage is going to be a peacock fairy and RJ is going to be Buzz Lightyear. :applause:

Today was day 30 on the treadmill for me. I got discouraged yesterday because I weighed myself and the scale was no different than 3 wks ago. But I am noticing differences in how I look. And it has helped all my hurting immensely. So, I was back at it this morning. And as an added bonus, the SoA episode I was watching while on the treadmill was the SK cleaner one! :applause: I was not expecting it, I thought that happened in a later season, so it was a great surprise. I loved it!

So, now that I have droned on...:D Have a great Halloween! Stay safe! Big hugs and positive vibes to all. :love_heart:
SAD? Seasonal Affective Disorder?

I usually get that by around late January or early February

This past February was great though!

I hope you feel better soon :cheerful::angel:

That happens to me with the exercising, too. It's unfortunate that we focus so much on the numbers on the scale because the toning can oftentimes be even better for affecting our body shape. Not to mention that you're doing good things for your health along with body image which is a big plus.

We had a notice on our internal web site at work:

HSC Fitness Centre will be closed due to a water leak until further notice

Guess I get a couple of days off!

Tina, Sorry to hear that things aren't going the way that they should. Saying prayers and sending positive vibes in hopes that things turn around soon. I can relate, I had the week from Hades working on our explorer with my husband. One of the things he did is replace the thermostat housing and hoses. He gets it all done and the small heater hose had two pinholes and sprayed antifreeze everywhere. He had to tear it apart to get on a new hose. To top it off, my sink clogged yesterday. The pipe that my washer drains into is connected to the sink and the dishwasher. When the washer drained yesterday it backed up/leaked into the sink, behind the washer and out of the bottom of the dishwasher all at the same time. I could have cried. That is my project for the day. Anyway, I am glad to be back and I missed all of you. Wishing you all a very Happy November.......May good things come to all of you.

A few years ago on a Sunday, I was watching football and doing laundry. I had a load going in the washing machine for while when I decided to go into the kitchen to get something out of the refrigerator. When I stepped into the kitchen, I felt water on the floor. I went into the utility room (that's next to the kitchen) and there was water spraying everywhere. A hose feeding the washing machine had ruptured and was spraying water everywhere. My panel box is located in between my washer and dryer and the hose was spraying water all over the panel box as I was standing ankle deep in water with both the washer and dryer running. I was thankful for US building codes as I was standing in water watching my panel box get soaked.

That makes me shudder just reading it. I bet it was doubly scary for you!! I am so glad that nothing happened to you. It has been the week for leaks for me.(coffee maker/drain pipe/radiator hose) I am going nowhere near a dam.:a17:

Oh wow, so glad you weren't hurt or worse! That was a recipe for total disaster.

Happy Thursday

Only today and tomorrow to go, then I get a whole week off - hurray!

I'm having trouble uploading a file from my computer (was just in that Saint's thread or whatever it is called)

Wonder what is going on with this stupid thing - perhaps need to ask Santa for an upgrade

I am trying to install Adobe Flash Player right now as it kept popping up saying it had crashed

Good morning!

Scott has his pre-op appointment this morning, at 10:15. We are losing power at the house at 9, for 4 hours, so the city can transfer to a new line they put in behind all the houses on my side of the street. Hope it all goes smooth. RJ and Sage are going to riot, no cartoons! ;-D

Hope you all have great days. Healing vibes to Becks' daughter. Big hugs and positive vibes to all! :love_heart:

Things must have gone way better than expected, the power came back on about 45 minutes ago. Thought maybe it was a test, but it has stayed on.

No riots!

RJ thought he had to whisper when everything turned off. "Someone's coming!" he said. "No, no one is coming." "Yes, Grandma, the Big Bad Wolf is coming!"

Scott just got back, too. Sounds like everything went well and paperwork is all filled out and signed and ready to turn in for the short-term disability. I was really worried he was going to come home and say he canceled the surgery. He has been threatening to. But he didn't. So just have to get to the 21st now and get him there. :encouragement:

Big hugs and positive vibes, all! :love_heart:
