Happy Halloween everyone!

I have been quiet lately. I feel like I only have bad news all the time and so feel like a Debbie Downer. Have really just been trying to throw myself into chores and everything that needs done, just stay busy to keep my mind off everything.

Kids are excited for tonight. Ali is going to be a 50's style girl, with a poodle skirt and Ty (with help from Marti) made a shirt look like a Vault 111 shirt from the Fallout video game. He will wear that with jeans and he made himself a Pip-Boy out of heavy duty construction paper. :D He is so excited about it, having made it himself.

Sage is going to be a peacock fairy and RJ is going to be Buzz Lightyear. :applause:

Today was day 30 on the treadmill for me. I got discouraged yesterday because I weighed myself and the scale was no different than 3 wks ago. But I am noticing differences in how I look. And it has helped all my hurting immensely. So, I was back at it this morning. And as an added bonus, the SoA episode I was watching while on the treadmill was the SK cleaner one! :applause: I was not expecting it, I thought that happened in a later season, so it was a great surprise. I loved it!

So, now that I have droned on...:D Have a great Halloween! Stay safe! Big hugs and positive vibes to all. :love_heart:

(((Tina))) Sometimes when it rains, it pours and it's hard to feel like engaging when you're down. I hope things start turning around soon in a positive way.

That happens to me with the exercising, too. It's unfortunate that we focus so much on the numbers on the scale because the toning can oftentimes be even better for affecting our body shape. Not to mention that you're doing good things for your health along with body image which is a big plus.

Good job, Ty! Hope all your kids have fun with the trick-or-treating---let us know how it goes.

Sending positive vibes and lots of cyber-hugs your way!

We all have times we are low, and it helps to talk to people about it. We are that safe haven. Sometimes just talking about things lightens the load, just a little bit.

I hope you have fun with the kiddlits tonight and I just know things will turn around soon!

I would just like to encourage the other members of the board who have not been following the annual Halloween story to take the time now to read it. Full story now available in one chunk.

And just of interest:

Flash Fiction: 53 - 1,000 words

Short Stories: 3,500 - 7,500

Novellettes: 7,500 - 17,000

Novellas: 17,000 - 40,000

Novels: 40,000 + words

Our little group came in at the novelette range. We were right in the neighborhood of 11,000 words.

Tina, Sorry to hear that things aren't going the way that they should. Saying prayers and sending positive vibes in hopes that things turn around soon. I can relate, I had the week from Hades working on our explorer with my husband. One of the things he did is replace the thermostat housing and hoses. He gets it all done and the small heater hose had two pinholes and sprayed antifreeze everywhere. He had to tear it apart to get on a new hose. To top it off, my sink clogged yesterday. The pipe that my washer drains into is connected to the sink and the dishwasher. When the washer drained yesterday it backed up/leaked into the sink, behind the washer and out of the bottom of the dishwasher all at the same time. I could have cried. That is my project for the day. Anyway, I am glad to be back and I missed all of you. Wishing you all a very Happy November.......May good things come to all of you.

(((((CAT))))) Remember, muscle weighs more than fat. So for now, go by how you look, and take pride in the fact that your clothes are fitting you better.

Happy Taco Tuesday!

We had a really great night last night. We went with Brandon and Marti trick or treating around the neighborhood until 6, then RJ's mama picked him up. Then we went over to one of Marti's family members house, so they could see little Sage, and trick or treated all around that neighborhood. Then hit a few of their other friends houses. We were out until about 9. It was so fun, Sage was having a total blast, every house we left, she would hold up her bucket and say, I got more! ;-D

At one point I turned around and was laughing at Brandon and Evan ribbing each other, and was shocked at how tall Evan is. You know how sometimes that kind of stuff sneaks up on you, as a parent? Brandon is 6'4", Evan probably close to 6", and seeing them walking side by side, wow. It really shocked me! :biggrin2:

The only thing that would have made the night perfect would have been if RJ could have been with us the whole night, and if Scott hadn't had to work. It was a pretty great family night.

Been trying to get some pics uploaded, but it's not working. They must be too big! I will keep playing around with it and see if I can get at least one to post!

Have a really great day. Big hugs and positive vibes to all! :love_heart:
