Still have winter air in my tires. AAA's recommendation for the switch-over to summer air is the day before the 4th of July. Y'all must be running summer air in your tires, hey? Spidey for sure...blunthead probably. I think there's a chart/map available on-line at duck-duck-go but w/climate change the map is subject to change, too.

I wasn't even aware that there is winter air and summer air. ;-D I buy generic air.

Mom's birthday is coming up in a few days so I was in the Hallmark card picking out a card for her birthday and one for Mother's day (2 birds with one stone). Why are cards for mothers so long winded? Whoever writes these things sounds like they are trying to make up for all the bad stuff they did. Some of these cards are like confessionals. ;-D It's hard to find a nice card for your mother that she doesn't need a bookmark for. I try to pick one that sounds like something I would say and it's really difficult because I'm a lot more concise than these Hallmark cards. ;-D

I agree - I usually purchase blank cards and write my own message - I get embarrassed by all the fluffy prose. Totally not my style.

You're setting us up, right? Like if I got to my mechanic and ask for the air in my tires to be replaced with summer air, he's going to whisper to all the other mechanics and they'll humor me like I'm crazy. it could be fun - I might try it.

Happy Friday All! It happens to be my Monday.......boo! Have a great weekend eveyone!
Oh no! Is that as horrible as it sounds? Here's me on Friday - I try to do very little work at work because I haul a$$ all week - just so I can take it easy on Friday. Then I don't cook - everybody puts in their dinner order on their way out the door for school and work. I'll go straight to the Y right after work, then pick up dinner, take a shower and be in my jammies by 7pm. I go straight to bed - I read, I watch TV, I play on my laptop, I nap, I do whatever suits me for 12 glorious hours - which means mostly sleeping, but I take Fridays very seriously. I've been this way as long as I can remember.

I think it has to do with tire pressure. Cold winter makes the pressure drop in the tire. So in summer you want to bring it back up to the norm set by your tire manufacture.
Also, I hear some tires now use nitrogen- supposed to give better gas mileage. My car is so old, I'm just happy is runs!

If he asks if you want June or July air...tell him to make it August air...tell him you favor the dignified approach. Myself, I opt for August air as I've found you get better gas mileage.

aha- it seems like my tire pressure expands during the hot months - which for us will begin next week - but I've never let any out.
We drive paid off older cars - I hope to never have a car payment again in my life. I will drive my car until it turns to dust and insist my husband do the same. And then I hope to be living in a fancy retirement area with shuttles to take me where I want to go and not need a car.

Or really confuse him and ask for "London Air".

Or you could just drive a golf cart around the community like my Dad (and everyone else there) does. :biggrin2:

Oh heck yes! My inlaws live somewhere swanky in Florida and everywhere you need to go to - even the dr office and church - you can get to via golf cart. There's even a tunnel under the busiest street that takes you straight to the beach. Yes, that's where I'll settle.
