Hi everyone. Kids ended up not coming home yesterday. We decided since we were going there on Wednesday, we would just save them a trip. But oh how I wish they would have just come home.

They were at the pool and someone knocked into Ali, she knocked her mouth on the edge. She has a pretty good chip out of one front tooth and the other one is broken off, about halfway. Couldn't do anything about it, they called with the news minutes before Scott needed to leave for work.

Got her an appointment with a dentist for tomorrow. Our wallet is sure taking a beating lately. We have dental coverage but am unsure how much we will be helped by it for something like this. Been doing a lot of . I feel so bad just being at home enjoying a break.:sadface: She is not in any pain but she sure looks rough. :sorrow:

Big hugs and positive vibes to all.
You might want to check and see if your health insurance can cover some of the costs? Sounds odd, but I worked (for a brief time) at Premiera/Blue Cross and they considered a bee sting an accident and would cover any hospital/doctor/medicines related to that. I don't see why this wouldn't be considered an accident either. What have you got to lose?

Wish me luck getting to sleep. I've got not sleeping pills left to take, Just a benedryl. They usually do the trick in a pinch, but cross your fingers for me just the same. :)

Good night Lepplady!

I think I will go to bed now - last night I went to bed at 10:30 p.m. and automatically woke up at 5 a.m. before the alarm clock. Here it is now 11 p.m. so I am already half an hour late.

Sweet dreams!

Good morning! I hate to see this week go by so fast- I don't want school to start. But here it comes anyway.
Thanks to glucosamine, my knee is pain free for the first time since I injured it last August. I got out of bed this morning very carefully like I always do, prepared for pain that wasn't there. I do PT exercises 3 x a day, in addition to my 4 x a week classes at the Y, and though it helps very much, I've still had swelling and pain. I started taking glucosamine on Saturday. It's a miracle.
Have a great day everyone!

I had this thought, too. It will definitely be a question I ask today. Looks like we should be covered at 80%, most everything in our dental is. (Bye, bye school shopping money!) So hopefully this isn't considered cosmetic! Or some other kind of loophole. There is a $1500 max yearly payout, so if this is more than that, it will be on us.

cat in a bag Oh no! (((cat and Ali))) Is that the third thing, though? Maybe your run of bad luck is over now, greener pastures ahead, filled with money!!

I sure hope this is it. I thought the little bit of trouble we had with the pickup after our camp trip was the 3rd thing. I better not have started over with this teeth thing.

Thank you everyone for the hugs and vibes. Inlaws brought the kids home yesterday, so we didn't have to make a screaming trip over there to pick them up this morning and get back here in time for the appointment. They do feel bad this happened on their watch. I am just trying to be thankful that it was "only" a couple broken teeth. It could have very easily been so much worse. Sh*t happens, right? (Seems we've had our share lately though.)

Sending good vibes to do1you9love? Hope things get better at work for you.

Big hugs and positive vibes to all. Have a good Hump Day. :love_heart:

Hi and Good Day (Happy Hump Day)

We went out to Bailey's Restaurant last night (I will post a link):

History and Stories at Bailey's Restaurant - Bailey's Restaurant - Prime Dining in Winnipeg, Catering services, unique, themed dining rooms, with specialities like lamb and filet mignon or scotch, cognac or wine

We were simply going to go out for Chinese and when I went searching for restaurants this one popped up.

After French Onion soup, buns and salad I could not even eat my main course so I had to ask for a doggy bag!

Hope everyone is doing well today and that if you are at work the day just flies by!

I hope things look up for you.

I'm busy myself today. We've got to pack the car up today to get ready to leave for Mechacon tomorrow. And I still don't have that bloody corset finished. The thing itself is done, thank goodness. But she's got a dagger sheath attached to it that I still have to do. Guh. And I still need to take the dress itself in. I've lost weight so it bags off of me. I wanted to spend these last few days getting in some last minute crafts to sell, but this batty cosplay has taken up every minute.
Wish me luck!

Oh my dear ruby, you are a rarity in this world: proud of the things that make you different, you are confident and self-assured. You’re not afraid to admit when you’re wrong. You often make people laugh with your honesty and impulsivity. Because you’re comfortable with your quirks, those around you are attracted to your positivity and light. Just remember that not everyone is quite as comfortable with their quirks, so make sure that refreshing honesty doesn’t get you into trouble.
