I went in with my made up sob story, and a sad look on my face. It was hard to keep a straight face as I told the salon owner how sorry I was and really embarrassed, but with business slowing down for winter and with me missing out on new referrals for call ins, my checking account is pretty low, and I had to scratch up the rent this week the best way I could. Told her again how sorry I was, and hopefully business would be better next week so I wouldn't have to use nickels and pennies.....even pooched out my bottom lip a little as I held out the bag to her. I thought my co worker was going to break her leg trying to run to the back to keep from bursting out in laughter.
The salon owner just looked at me for a long minute, and took the bag.
She was really nice to me the rest of the day.....and I still have a job. I think she's too greedy to ask me to leave.....

Hi, Sunny! Remember that old adage: Revenge is a dish best served cold? Just watch your back, is all I'm saying. This 'boss lady' sounds like she might be spiteful. Your story did make me laugh, tho!!

Party was great! I won one of the 'best costume' category's- funniest costume! Got to pick a bag with some prizes inside, didn't even look at what was in it, and wouldn't you know it- there was a bottle of Fireball inside!! ;-D Also a dvd special edition of the original The Omen! I haven't tried the dessert, there was some left over so I let a couple of ladies at the party keep some in containers and brought the rest home. No one died from eating it so I guess it was good.

So far, just sitting around :) Last night was fun, but exhausting. I do have to get going on a t least a bit of cleaning, though--two days of frantic costuming means that there are fabric, notions, paint, and doodads on every horizontal surface, and a sink full of dishes.

*SIGH*

Maybe after an episode of Walking Dead... *gets another cup of coffee*

Just sold my little freezer (5.6 cubic feet) that I posted on Craig's List! Woohoo! Had a call within an hour after posting it! Now, I can move the litterbox out of my spare bathroom and put it in the laundry room where the freezer used to be. Of course it's going to confuse the crap out of my cats but it'll be fun watching them wander around with that silly look on their faces.....

Well, it happened. I knew it would. I have been avoiding going outside much. I used to be out there all the time with puppy.

Someone stopped me tonight, and asked about her. I was so ashamed, I know I should not be... She is so happy with her new family, I know it.

I started crying, and said, "Maggie is great" just not here with me.

I felt like such a bad person. She just walked away with her dog and gave me a look. ****.

It made me so sad all over again. I truly do think of her every night. And try to imagine how happy she is.

Hell, I cant even bear to pick up some of her toys. yet. The couch is still stuffed with em. She found secret places in the couch.

I find her puppy antics all over when I don't expect it. And I have a clean house.. she was a stuffer.

I just say,, Oh puppy! I hope she is still being so bad and yet so damn cute with her new family.
