It has been a week. Just really tough, brain-numbing, what-the-heck-am-I-doing kinds of things. The kind of week where at the end of it, you feel like you've earned the right to drink yourself into a stupor but you're too tired to do even that. Where you don't take a bite of ice cream because you know that if you start, you'll find out there's not enough in the world to take care of you. Where someone says, "What do you want to do?" and you look at them blankly because once you process the question, absolutely nothing comes to mind.
But.... It was capped off nicely with the descendants staying over last night. That means I'm responsible for breakfast this morning. I've decided it's going to be yogurt-fruit parfaits, and pancakes, and banana bread with chocolate chips, and maybe some bacon on the side. So I'd better get in gear and....

Hi All! I'm alive!! Things went great, according to the surgeon. After he said that I punched him in the stomache on both side so he could really understand how things went. Kidding, but I thought about it! I'm pretty sore still. Surprisingly more sore on the side that wasn't giving me pain before the surgery. Odd.....
