This trial was such a train wreck from the beginning. I was out of work at the time and so watched most of it as it unfolded. I remember my husband coming home to find me sobbing on the couch, right after the verdict was read. Could not believe it. It still makes me angry.:angry_002:
ME TOO! My kids, to. this. day., will rick roll me with the Orenthal James Simpson NOT GUILTY video. It makes me so angry I can't watch it. And they think it is hysterical. If I am watching a show and for some reason they start to show that clip, I turn the channel as fast as I can get away from it.

There is a tv special on 1st October on the A&E channel called 'O J Simpson The Hidden Tapes Revealed'.
Not sure if I can stand to watch it or not. I too watched the entire trial on tv and 2 things kept going through
my mind. His rage was certifiable but that Hollywood personality of his shone through. Train wreck is the
perfect word for that trial.

...nothing in the transcripts changes my opinion in the slightest....he was a gifted football player with a public persona that belied the darkness within...he lied and prevaricated and stonewalled throughout the entire circus...and the greasy weasel defense team is the only thing that kept him from a death sentence....guilty then, still guilty now....

Well . . . The Juice is a monster, that's all.

You don't really need to know any more than that about him. He's one of those guys who had a gift that allowed him to go through life without anyone every really saying "no" to him with any conviction, and so when someone finally did . . . well . . .

Whenever I think about the OJ Circus -- and what it said about the difference between how we portray ourselves and who we really are -- I like to remind myself about the specifics. How the murder was done. And who were those people who simply had to have known it, and subverted justice for money.

The world makes all different kinds of people, and I don't know that I want to get too far into gradients of evil, but there was an awful lot of bad to go around in this trial. And not everybody who exacerbated the problem was in the courtroom.

I only refer to him as the killer of Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman. Won't use his name. He's scum in my book. Actually, he's not in my book. I try not to think about him. I'm not going to click on the link to see what he said. He doesn't deserve even that small amount of time from me. Scum.
