Toads are a pain in the a$$. I’m always having to stop the lawn tractor and pick one of the little hopping buggers up to move out of the way. There is a little guy on my shoulder that always says “ just ignore and continue” but so far he isn’t winning out.

First the daisies, and now the toads...... if you're not careful, the weekly death threats will have to resume.

How does your daughter treat a poisoned dog? Is there an antidote like used for a snake bite?

I've asked my vet what to do in case my dog got one and he told me to take a hose and rinse the dog's mouth out and that will get him out of danger. Then bring him in to the vet. I'm not sure what they do at that point. A dog like Ozzy that is 75-80 pounds has a much better chance than the smaller dogs.

Ah, the benefits of distance. :)
Did I mention that there is a very good possibility that I'll be traveling through your area in the fall?
It basically comes down to if we decide to fly or not.....if we drive, we'll spend at least one night in your vicinity.....but if we fly, we'll head straight to Portland, ME......
Would you like me to bring you some daisies?.....I'm taking OoO some blue raspberry wine, and Marsha is going to sample some Southern sweet iced tea......

Treatment almost has to be immediate, within 30 minutes of exposure. Flushing of the mouth for up to 10 minutes/ watching the heart and giving drugs to stabilize, pain meds if necessary. Unfortunately, most do to survive. Nasty toad.
