It ( the one with the drain cover and paper boat) cujo( pic of just dogs mandible), Bazaar of bad dreams and a honorable mention to Misery.

Redesign would be dr.sleep. I would keep it the same but in the background small, I would put row of winnebago's in 1 corner, in the middle, A brain that is cracked open with a lock box with different spirits in it looking in turmoil, then in last upper corner a tall lanky scary Ruth.

I had that one too. Never made sense to me.. I kinda get it - but.. Who's that supposed to be?
....coupla years back we had this same kind of discussion....it is good vs evil, black vs the white....John Cayea is the artist, though it looks very much like something from Bosch's "Hell".....

It's so strange how some publishers don't care at all about what cover is used for a book. The Night Shift cover - the hand with the eyes and bandages - was used here for Different Seasons at one time.

I have so many favourite covers: It - the paper boat, with the green claw coming from the drain. Misery - Annie's shadow with the axe over Paul in the wheelchair. Bazaar of Bad Dreams - the head with the butterflies and the figure of Death. Certainly the Dark Tower books.

Some of the original covers feel dated now though, like The Shining first edition. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/4c/Shiningnovel.jpg

Beautiful paperback - so silver and shiny. I think it had a cut out, flip cover?

So sorry I lost it along the way.
I wonder if the faceless boy on this cover is a nod to
the part where Wendy remembers the birth of Danny. "He has no face!" She saw him with the caul over his face and later puts the caul in a jar. Anyway, this is the moment that I thought of.

The Darkside of the Moon (England really)
1. Four past midnight, UK hardback.

I've always liked this ever since my dad had it in his book case. Even when I had no interest in reading as a kid this cover fascinated me.

2. I don't know which of these I prefer but as they are all the same book I figured they could all be joint second. Joyland (and there are many more good versions of this book).

3. Featuring the man himself (in silhouette) On Writing, UK paperback.

Almost making it just for the font alone, Christine, not sure which version.

As for remaking covers, there are so many that are not very good but a foreign version is way better so not many could be improved on. I mentioned joyland in my top 3 and found this amazing cover for it, I don't know if it's a real foreign cover or fan made. Anyone got any ideas?
