I am reading about Tornadoes in Loiusiana, Georgia and Mississippi. I am just hoping everyone is allright. Does anyone of our little family live there? are they allright?
Wow - I haven't heard that yet. I'm in Tennessee. Garriga is in Mississippi, Lepplady is in Louisiana. Everyone OK? I wonder if it's heading our way or if it went north. I'm off to check the weather out...
I'm fine. We had some weather, but nothing too severe. There were tornado warnings, but we only got rain.
How about everybody else?

I used to live in a tornado country state (Illinois) and figured that I'd leave that behind in moving to Colorado.
Wrong. While I've never personally witnesses a tornado, one struck a few years ago in Windsor, which pretty much borders our town, killing one and could've done much worse, except that the bank across the street from a daycare housed all the children in the vault during the storm, and the daycare house was then flattened. Chilling to think of what might have been.

But tornadoes in December in the South. It just all seems weird, not to mention tragic. Thoughts and best wishes to those affected by it all.

Hope everyone is okay. Tornadoes are scary business. When I lived in New Mexico there was a tornado warning/watch practically every day in the summer. After awhile of none of them actually touching down you get careless. One finally did about 10 miles from me, not a big one and it was mostly in a field but still too close for comfort. Those sirens are one of the creepiest things ever.
Is it just me or has weather everywhere gotten worse and wild over the last few years?

The Black ice?? Sounds scary. Like it is kind of meanspirited and out to get you. Is it just dirty or why is it called black?
They call it black ice because it's transparent, so it's the color of the road, so you can't see it. That makes it twice as dangerous. If you see the ice coming, you can at least take your foot off the gas. If you don't see it, you hit it full speed and skid everywhere.
