For those of you who watched last night's episode, the Conway Twitty impersonator at the beginning was played by Jake La Botz, who was "the Shape" in Ghost Brothers of Darkland County.

Not surprising since T Bone is doing the music. He was amazing as The Shape. For those of you who watched last night's episode, the Conway Twitty impersonator at the beginning was played by Jake La Botz, who was "the Shape" in Ghost Brothers of Darkland County.
Did anyone watch the new season? I have both episodes recorded.
Thoughts?

Season two took a couple of episodes for me to get into it, but the ending of the season was well worth the wait. Vince Vaughn ended up being my favorite character, but the season did take a few episodes to get going. Not yet, gonna watch it tonight. Have high hopes for it because I loved Season 1 but never watched Season 2 because I heard it was absolute trash!
And the West Memphis Three is a very tragic and interesting case.Watched both episodes. This season was filmed mostly in my home town. They've changed the name of the town from West Fork to "West Finger", but mostly it's filmed in the town I live in just north of West Fork. The scene where the main two officers pull a U-Turn in the middle of an intersection where you see a stoplight is about three houses up from my folks' place. There's another scene where it shows the back of my property at the top of a hill, you can see my tool shed. It's really strange seeing all these familiar places. One of the detectives I worked with for years is the one dusting the bicycle for prints, quick scene but it's definitely him. Very interesting show so far, got kind of a West Memphis Three feel to it.
Two wasn't my favorite either and to be honest, I can't remember much about it. So, it obviously didn't leave much of an impression. Season one was so good. I hope this ones grabs that magic again. Not yet, gonna watch it tonight. Have high hopes for it because I loved Season 1 but never watched Season 2 because I heard it was absolute trash!
I wish...lol They used our old high school shop as the morgue and Tamara got to meet Marashala Ali when he came to the school for filming. She said he was very polite and cordial to all the staff during the filming at the school. It was so cool seeing so many familiar places, the old fire tower just a mile or so down the road was in several scenes. They cross the Baptist Ford bridge, the old iron bridge you see in the show, several times. Seeing the old 70's and 80's vehicles used was cool, the old school Arkansas State Police cruisers, old Mustangs, etc.And the West Memphis Three is a very tragic and interesting case.
Cool on the tool shed. Could you ask for an autograph?

The dialogue from Season 1 between Woody and McConaughey was some of the best acting I've seen. They had the lingo, the banter, everything was there as far as chemistry. Such a good opening season. Two wasn't my favorite either and to be honest, I can't remember much about it. So, it obviously didn't leave much of an impression. Season one was so good. Well, he's kind of let it go to his head, a bit of a jack ass about it to be honest. I tried to get some tools out the other day to work on my water heater and it made fun of my mom and told me my hair had split ends, which is weird because I wear it so short.......actors, ya' know? What can you do????You misunderstood me.
I want an autograph from your tool shed. He's a big star now.
Flatter him. Tell him he is the biggest tool shed you've ever seen. The most talented. With all the best locks.Well, he's kind of let it go to his head, a bit of a jack ass about it to be honest. What I've been surprised about so far is how ominous the town looks with the lighting they use, and how foreboding everything seems. Such a well done show so far. Apparently the creator of the show, Nic Pizzolatto, went to graduate school here at the U of A and really liked the area. It's so cool to see so many familiar places and even some of the extras are familiar to Tam and I since I'm old and I've been here for friggin' ever..lolFlatter him.
