I understand that this has become a competitive thing. My office is having an Ugly Christmas Sweater contest. I need some good ideas.
I am just replying here right away without actually reading any other posts yet.

I noticed at Value Village they had an entire rack of ugly Christmas sweaters. The staff must have set aside all the donations that came in and created a special display to make it easier for people who need these. Saves you some searching, hopefully!

Just make sure to wash it in hot water and then put it in the dryer as it is a second hand store. (Hopefully it will not shrink down to the size of a Barbie sweater).

There are limits. About the only holiday we do go all out for is Christmas (sometimes Halloween), because it does give us joy. As soon as it doesn't, I won't do it anymore :). My SIL does huge arrangements for every holiday and season--her whole house is 'done'--and the thought just exhausts me.
I know what you mean - it was quite a while before I managed to get the Halloween decorations put away. I had them down before November 11th at least :a11:

Now it is time to drag the giant 7 foot tree out of the basement and put it together - oy vey!

The Man wants to do a real tree this year, so I have at least until next weekend :) We keep ours up until Epiphany (Jan 6), so no way am I getting a real firetrap until closer to Christmas--lol. I sort of like gradually decorating (we just have the Advent wreath up right now); I enjoy the seasonal decorations more when it doesn't drag on forever--makes them special to all of us :)
