- I remember this book Dana Jean! It was a great book :m_adore:
I still have mine! I think my mom got it for me from a school book order. I loved this thing. Fed my sense of Macabre from a young age, lol!

So, is jelly in the U.S what we would call jam ?
In the US:

Jelly is made from fruit juice. It's blobby and has no solid bits in it.
Jam is made from fruit pulp or fruit chopped up in tiny pieces. It spreads better than jelly.
Preserves are made from chunks of fruit. Not so spreadable, but often delicious.

1. What colour is your hair (if you have any that is)? Kind of Strawberry Blonde, like me.

2. Have you travelled much? Just in the U.S.; except for a train ride in Sault Ste. Marie.

3. Do you ever use Facebook? More than I wish I felt the need to; mostly to be in touch with friends who are unavailable otherwise.

4. Do you wake up happy and refreshed most of the time or do you need lots of coffee to wake up? I rarely wake up feeling refreshed due I assume to the fact that I snore like a buzz saw, which interferes with restful sleeping.

5. If you exercise what type do you do? i.e walking or whatever. I walk sometimes.

6. Do you take public transport or do you prefer driving your own vehicle(if you have one)? I've always driven my own vehicle, but would have no aversion to public transportation provided it not be awfully inconvenient.

7. Was your childhood generally happy or difficult? Early childhood was happy, simple. Adolescence was another story.

8. What is your sign? Leo

9. Do you think there is anything to Astrology? Yes, but I also think what it is should't be trusted.

10. Do you like to cook and if so what are you really good at making? i.e wow recipe or dish. I love to charcoal grill ribeyes.

My mom has several really lovely pieces of that, handed down from my great grandma :) I have a couple of pink pieces that I've picked up at thrift shops--nice stuff, graceful

I love it! My grandmother found a sugar bowl and lid that was in her mother's things and thought I might like it. She was not into what she called "that old stuff" (ie: any antique). I did some research and realized that the lid alone (at that time) was worth over $100!

It's amazing that so much of it has lasted this long. It's always such a treat to find a new piece, although I think eBay has taken alot of the adventure away from the hunt.

1. What colour is your hair (if you have any that is)?

Light brown, tending to blonde, trending to gray and white

2. Have you travelled much?

I've been coast to coast frequently but missed six states (ND, ME, VT, NH, CT, RI). I've been to seven other countries, not including Caribbean island nations.

3. Do you ever use Facebook?

Yes. Alternately either on hiatus or semi-active.

4. Do you wake up happy and refreshed most of the time or do you need lots of coffee to wake up?

Usually refreshed enough. If not refreshed, still functional. I like coffee, but it doesn't wake me up.

5. If you exercise what type do you do? i.e. walking or whatever.

Weights, elliptical, biking.

6. Do you take public transport or do you prefer driving your own vehicle (if you have one?).

I believe strongly in having sound public transportation. Just not for me. I like to drive.

7. Was your childhood generally happy or difficult?

Both. I didn't socialize well, so it wasn't extremely happy. I wasn't abused at home, so it wasn't extremely difficult.

8. What is your "sign".

In normal zodiac stuff, scorpio. In Chinese astrology, snake.

9. Do you think there is anything to Astrology?

No.

10. Do you like to cook and if so what are you really good at making? i.e. wow recipe or dish.

I love to cook. I'm good at spices and putting together things to make nutritious food tasty. I'm especially good at chili, stews, soups, stir-fries, lasagna, enchiladas, and holiday breads.
