Um... BH and I went on a driving vacation with FIL to visit his dad's family in Michigan. FIL chose the accommodations. The motel in Des Moines had green mold growing half way up the shower walls and I slept fully dressed, shoes and all. Our motel in NE had seven single beds (I felt like Snow White). One motel in MI looked exactly like a prison cell with queen sized beds. I put my foot down at a motel somewhere (I've blocked out) where I lifted the bedspread and there was either blood or vomit trailing down the box springs of the bed. Never again traveling with FIL.
