I used to not be willing to swim with the fishes. But I really loved swimming. One summer at a cottage I got talked into swimming across a lake, which was about a mile and a half. Two swimmers, so we had adults in two boats. I was in the middle of the lake when I got caught by seaweed and started panicking. My dad wanted to help me, but my brother wouldn't let him. He knew if they pulled me out I'd never go back in. I relaxed, got the seaweed off and finished the swim.

Seaweed in a lake? What else are you guys growing up there I should know about?:D

Fine, correct my words. Lake weed. Still raps around your leg and seems to pull you down.

Shingles! Oh dear - that is terrible. I had it in February 2013 and it took a long time to get over it.

Ask him if he has tried a type of cream called 'capsaicin'

When you put it on at first it really burns like h*ll, but it does help - not sure how, but it made a difference for me.
He told us that he was given shots and creams but I will suggest the Capsaicin. THANKS. We had a very short mass on Saturday, poor thing, wouldn't even let the choir sing the Gloria, can you imagine wearing a street suit and those heavy vestments on top of all of that raw skin.

Saying a little prayer for him - I could barely get out of bed (when I had it) - the pain was excruciating.

I will hazard a guess - if it actually ran after your son it could be a wolf spider - they are aggressive and will jump at you [little buggers!]
They also bite :icon_eek:

"Wolf Spider vs. Brown Recluse
It may help to observe the movements of the spider in question. Named for their swift motion, particularly while attacking prey, the wolf spider can sometimes be seen scurrying across open surfaces. The brown recluse, on the other hand, tends to hide in dark, unvisited places and is rarely seen in the open. Recluses also have six eyes arranged in pairs combined with a violin marking on their cephalothoraxes. Wolf spiders do not have these combined characters."
