Do you ever have pancakes and ice cream with maple syrup? I might have some cheese sandwiches and a cup of tea while finish watching the movie 'Wind Dancer', I watched the movie 'Heaven Sent' two nights ago and don't know what to think of it whether it was good or bad. It’s 12:15 in the morning here and this thread is making me hungry!
I’m going to resist the urge to eat and wait until I get up tomorrow
What would that white stuff be, that appears to have a bit of celery in it for colour?
She sounds like a keeper to me!One helluva birthday supper tonight. Pork loin chops, mashed potatoes, cream cheese corn, sweet potatoes and homemade yeast rolls, followed by a homemade strawberry cake. My fiancée took a half day off work to get everything cooked. I have no earthly idea what I’ve done to deserve this woman but she can cook a mean birthday meal. The raccoons will NOT be breaking bread with us tonight...lol

I like real maple syrup with my pancakes, and I use something called Coyote brand pancake mix from Alberta.Do you ever have pancakes and ice cream with maple syrup? Usually I use half of the pancake mix, and half of my own scratch pancake mix, mixed together. The Coyote brand uses whole wheat flour and I use Robin Hood best-for-blending white flour, so it sort of makes them lighter and fluffier.
LOL. 'Sit down' is is the term we hoofties 'round these here parts distinguish between a restaurant and an establishment predominantly catering to 'take out' business.....a "sit down Chinese restaurant"?.....I prefer not to stand while I'm stuffing my gob with Crab Rangoon.....
Around here, if we're getting it to go we just say "Chinese takeout"......LOL. 'Sit down' is is the term we hoofties 'round these here parts distinguish between a restaurant and an establishment predominantly catering to 'take out' business.
Yep, danie got it. I put celery in it for taste and color but mostly because I had some left that I didn't use last week. I boil onions and celery in the stock and it adds a good flavor. What would that white stuff be, that appears to have a bit of celery in it for colour?

I make them a few different ways. My dumplings are homemade with flour, lard and buttermilk. I fold the dough, flatten it, and with a pizza cutter make little strips. Sometimes, I make round clumps like your picture. Thanks danie
My Mom used to make that but I did not recognize it in the picture
Hers used to look more like this:
Most definitely and she's somehow able to put up with me so there's that also....must be very special....She sounds like a keeper to me!
...what a beautiful new pic ma'am!.....Greek quinoa salad and broccoli cheddar soup for me tonight! Grabbing dinner at Panera amidst shopping.
....I'll be sending you a larger pair of pants.....soon we'll both be using that crafty desert rat tailor-Omar......Thank you ma’am. I very much appreciate it.
