...well, so much for my salesmanship...I have it and I've read it (and loved it)- just letting everyone know about the good deal.

...I'm sure...What I haven't read is Owen's short story collection. I ordered a special edition from Cemetery a long time ago and it still hasn't been to the printer yet. They probably have to wait for a certain number of sales before they go ahead with it.
I'm bringing my copies of Owen's books with me to Missoula in the hopes that I'll run into him somehow, someway........go for it...it's well worth it...have it on my Kindle and have enjoyed it, but even more so when Tracy gifted me an autographed HC....

I read his book of short stories years ago, and I remember thinking they had good characters and writing, but didn't seem to go anywhere or actually tell a "good story." Hard to explain. Anyway, I know a lot of members here liked Double Feature, and for $2.99, can't go wrong. It's very different from dad but it's very good. It's quite funny.
I agree with that. Owen's writing is good, but the stories were just sort of "so whats" for me. The one I did like was about a dentist in the woods.I read his book of short stories years ago, and I remember thinking they had good characters and writing, but didn't seem to go anywhere or actually tell a "good story." That's so funny, because that's the only one I remember! Have you read Double Feature? The UPS man just delivered Sleeping Beauties, so I'll try Owen out there first.I agree with that. I have Double Feature to read -- still sitting unopened on the pile. I'm waiting for my Sleeping Beauties. That's so funny, because that's the only one I remember! Have you read Double Feature? The UPS man just delivered Sleeping Beauties, so I'll try Owen out there first.
She doesn't know it but I have a stack of books I would like her to sign- two copies of Wizard & Glass as it's dedicated to her and two copies of The Secretary Of Dreams for the same reason....I still want Marsha to sign a book of mine...she's a good friend and would be priceless to me....
SHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! They don't know about this!!Use Joe as bait.
I haven’t seen the movie so I can’t compare! How was that compared to the movie?
