I think the paperback is $7.99 as well. I looked up The Penguin Book of Witches, and now you owe me $9.99. :)
Another book by the same author is The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane and Conversion. Have you read it? It looked good too.

Haven't read that other one, danie.
I'll get that money to you as soon as I can ;;D

Finished Gather the Daughters. I STILL don't know exactly what is in the outside world! Well written, creepy book. Very glad I picked it up!
I'm finishing a couple for review, but have The Boy on the Bridge (M. R. Carey) waiting in the wings. More of my beloved dystopia--lol. I know absolutely nothing about it, but I enjoyed The Girl With all the Gifts and Fellside enough to take a chance him.

I just put that on my wish list, thanks! I watch all the Neanderthal documentaries aired on the History Channel. I've always suspected I have a pretty high percentage of Neanderthal DNA :)
Lack of chin?? Heavy browridges?? A bit shorter than usual but much stronger?? The authors by the way are Dimitra Papagianni & Michael Morse.

Im re-reading Tom Clancy's Dead or Alive for the 2nd time. Dunno why lol. What I need to do is get back into reading my old Star wars books that are still new to me such as reading the X Wing books for the first time along with the Jedi Academy books and then Scourge and the Fate of the Jedi stuff and then Star Wars Crucible.

That and read some of Joe McKinney's zombie books

I have just finished The Ruins by Scott Smith.

At the minute I am reading one non SK then a SK (in order of release) that brings me to Cujo next (poor Cujo :a17:)

Liked The Ruins but kinda hoped it would be more disturbing than it was, or maybe I expect too much? Ah well.
The Ruins was a bit of a let down for me. I was expecting so much more from Scott Smith as this was his second novel and we had to wait thirteen years for The Ruins. I just thought it was a typical horror book with the typical ending.

About the baseballer, Henry (Hank) Aaron born in Mobile, Alabama. It said on the 1998 World Book CD I got that he beat Babe Ruth's record of 713 runs in a regular season so I had to check that. Also still reading The Talisman by Straub and King and read Conan the Conqueror (The Hour of the Dragon).

When I was a kid, Hank was the man. I became a Braves fan as a kid mainly because the Braves games were on the local radio station. We didn't have a team in Florida and Atlanta was the closest team we had. Hank was my favorite player. My parents took me to a game in Atlanta and he was kind enough to hit a home run that night. That was awesome.

I Robot - Issac Asimov

It's hard to believe this was written 67 years ago (most of the stories in the book are a little older than that). Some of the future technology in this book is pretty close to what we have.

The book is a collection of short stories that have been made into a novel with some added material to help bridge the stories. The stories are about human interaction with robots in an age where robots are doing the work (and taking the jobs). My favorite story in this book, Reason is about a robot with highly developed reasoning ability that doesn't believe humans were smart enough to have invented him and doesn't believe that space really exists (the story takes place on a space station and he was manufactured to run the space station). The robot is convinced that the main computer created him and starts to worship the computer. He convinces the other robots on the space station of this and they end up with a new religion on the space station. ;-D It's a fun read and it can be eerily accurate in places. By the way, the Will Smith movie a few years ago doesn't have much in common with this book.
