I'm currently reading that as well. I plan on reading his autobiography within the next year.
Oh, dang. I've never seen this shot--I love it. Classy.I love this shot!
Read it ASAP! You won't regret it.I really want to read The Stand, but it's just so damned long that I keep putting it off!
Given that so many consider it to be his best book, I really should get around to it.

Like I said in the newb section, I'm reading Revival. Just finished Prince Lestat, which I think is the best in the Vampire Chronicles since The Vampire Lestat.
Also reading Save Yourself by Kelly Braffet, which has the most compelling first chapter I've encountered in quite some time, and The Casquette Girls by Alys Arden. Juggle juggle juggle.
Trust me when I say this: it will be the shortest long book you've ever read!I really want to read The Stand, but it's just so damned long that I keep putting it off!

This. I'm always shocked when I reach the end--it flies by.Trust me when I say this: it will be the shortest long book you've ever read!
My favorite (and safest) one
I think The Tommyknockers plain embarrasses ole Stevie. Me? It's one of my personal faves.I've started a reread of Tommyknockers. Have only read it in swedish and was not impressed but figured i owed the english version a shot. So far it is better than i remembered but we'll see. Still... It sure could have needed another editing. Some words and sentences just seems unnecessary. Might be just me though... But i read in an interview somewhere that it wasn't king's fave either.
Good question--don't remember ever hearing that asked before and don't know the answer so would have to ask and get back to you.Marsha, what is Steve's most treasured book in his collection? I've often wondered and imagined what his book collection must look like.
I love this shot!
