Has anyone read Heather Graham? I was sent her newest as a consolation prize for losing out on Finders Keepers (nice try, Ted, but BWAHAHAHAHA!), and I was wondering if her books are decent.
I have seen her books around and have wondered the same thing. Hope someone lets us know! :)
Sorry you didn't get an ARC of Finders Keepers.

The woods are lovely dark and deep
A little of both, actually. I read 70+ pages of Fifth Heart then just couldn't follow the story any more. I've been especially tired recently and I'm sure that had something to do with it. Simmons' historical fiction takes some concentration and I just was too distracted to continue. The Hobbit is a fun and easy read.

Still feeling funky, dear Sir? If so, I am hoping that this will pass soon for your sake.

The book will be there at a better time. Maybe just some light reading for a while?

Hey, NBgirl,
I just finished Twelve Years a Slave and really loved it. Northup's writing is beautiful, and the sadness and horror of slavery are really brought to light. I, too, had watched the movie, and was so affected by it that I immediately downloaded the book. I hardly ever highlight text with my Kindle, but found myself doing so for several beautifully written passages in the book. It's really amazing that this happened to someone; it breaks my heart so.
I've now started Tana French's The Likeness. I had read the first book in this series, In the Woods, and really enjoyed it.

I too was affected by the movie and now the book. I almost think it should be required reading in high schools. It's one of those books that should be read by everyone.

I've read one or two. They can be read without problem but doesn't belong in the top shelf exactly. At least the ones i read. But she isn't an author i became inspired to follow or keep an extra eye on after having read her. But it was a couple of years ago i read her. So i'm not updated on her.

I read one of hers (maybe about a beach) and wasn't impressed enough to read any more by her...

I'm not enthused, but I'll get through it :) I think because she is a major author, it was supposed to make up for having Finders Keepers bumped to someone with more seniority. NOT EVEN :D It's about 330 pages, but the print is HUGE--shouldn't take long to read :)

She shouldn't even be mentioned on the same page as King or several others. Is she considered a major author? She doesn't write like one. But it wont take long time and they aren't complicated are my experience. There are several crime, thriller authors that i rather read than her.

Major in romantic suspense, I guess. Bored already.

That explains why i never considered her major. In the ones i read there was a little romantic interest but they were mainly crimethrillers. Not really romantic suspense. Perhaps i caught a good one.

I'm feeling a little nostalgic tonight so i am reading "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" by C.S. Lewis. One of his Narnia books. I have always had a soft spot for the Narnia books (At least the five in the middle, the ones that describes how Narnia is born and dies i think is not much to write home about). So i read them now and again even though i know exactly whats gonna happen. Kind of silly but kind of cozy too.
