Finished Finders Keepers last night. Solid story, had my heart thumping in several spots. SK fits quite well into the mystery/crime genre as well. :encouragement: Another creepy villain, but not as creepy to me as Brady or even Annie Wilkes but definitely a whackadoodle!

Now back to Phantoms by Dean Koontz for me. Put it aside to read Finders Keepers.

And, Christopher Moore's A Dirty Job is one of the kindle daily deals today, $1.99. I absolutely loved this book, it is laugh out loud funny and heartwarming and weird. I highly recommend it for anyone who hasn't read it!

Finished Finders Keepers last night and started a book I have to review (comes out in a week or so). Eh. More 'quirks with names' instead of characters, but apparently this one has already been sold for a movie. Not interested at all, so I started Joanne Harris' The Gospel of Loki :)

So I just got to...

Joffrey's wedding. It was shocking to see on TV and it was interesting seeing the differences in the book. It seems like the third book is where they start having big differences.

I'm trying to finish this so I can start SK's newest book! Hopefully I finish this weekend.

And I just finished...
The Viper vs The Mountain part. The lead up to this was the best part of last season and it was the part of was looking forward to the most when I read the books.

The show adding this scene was a great touch.

Mr. Mercedes again, The Wind through the Keyhole (audio), while I wait for my copy of Finders Keepers to arrive at a small inde shop by my home. It is expected to arrive Tuesday. Meanwhile I was buying tennis balls for our Jack Russel today at Walmart, they had it. :rage:Am still going to support the small new and used independent store owner.

If your 'small and indie' bookstore keeps this up they aren't going to be in business much longer. How could they NOT have a new book by a major bestselling author in their store on release day?

The Third Wife, for review. This is interesting--so far, I can't figure out exactly what is going on. The protag is not as good a guy as he imagines himself to be, and I suspect he's an unreliable narrator into the bargain. With the right push, I could see this as another 'Gone Girl' type success. It comes out in a couple of days. Unless things change in the second half, it's well worth a read!

Just started Finders Keepers in actual hardcover (not on my Kindle) and I keep wanting to click on words I don't know and automatically have the dictionary appear! Also, it's so freakin' big & clunky compared to my Kindle; it's not exactly commuter friendly. I really wanted to read it "old school" but will have to download it for Kindle posthaste and get on with it. What I've read so far I am digging!

Finished Arthur C. Clarke's Rendezvous with Rama. Great book. Written in 1973 (or thereabout) it may seem a little dated, but the ideas put forth are amazing. I loved it. I ususally gravitate more towards science fantasy than "hard" science fiction, but the more I read it the more I like it. Once I realized I will never fully understand a lot of the hard-science stuff and gave into the story, it was a breeze to read.

I always want to click on words when I'm reading a real book too. ;-D When you get used to that feature, it's hard to do without.

The second half was as interesting as the first :) There was one point near the end where I thought the author was going to end weakly (an unrealistic ending), but she pulled it out with something acceptable. I approve--lol. This will be a joy to review :) The next one...not so much, unless it improves drastically from the first few chaps. Then I have J.R. Ward's new one to review, but it doesn't come out until July so I have a breather.
