Oh, Neesy, you have to read this book! Just so you can say that you have read it, at least. But, I think you will enjoy the story and the rich atmosphere that Bram created. It's a nice glimpse into another time.

AnnaRose - I have never read Dracula - let us know how you liked it!
I've read it and liked it. Like most classics there were parts you just had to wade through, but it was definitely worth the read.
I'm currently reading Doctor Sleep and listening to the audio book of 'Double Feature' by Owen King.
Hi! I know, I make my way over here more often. Double Feature is very humorous at times. Right now I'm at a part where I'm thinking-OMG! What's happening?....some parts are strange, though, I can't wait to find out how it ends.Hey Evil Queen - nice to see you! You have not been around much lately. How are you liking 'Double Feature'?
The Count of Monte Cristo is also on my reading list. I'd like to read more classics, but some are a bit daunting.I was watching Shawshank Redemption recently and I enjoyed the part where they are going through the books that had arrived for the Prison library.
One inmate says "Alexandre Dumas" but pronounces it wrong - that was a good scene - quite funny. Andy tells the guy he should read it - it is about a guy who escapes from prison (The Count of Monte Cristo). That is another classic book I would like to read some day.
I am sixty pages into......wait,for it....
THE STAND: THE COMPLETE AND UNCUT EDITION
This is gonna be an awesome journey.
Break down and buy some of those reading glasses - I find the 1.50 strength is just perfect for small printI hope to be starting that soon myself. I've had a paperback copy for 15 years or so but have never read it. Might have to get a trade paperback though so I don't have to squint so much.
