Hi y'all! I was on an O'Henry kick and man, do I love his writing! I still have a lot to read by him and I'll get back to him soon enough. I had to set my mind for the time period back then because words were used differently but eventually I caught on and I just love him. Been reading other works too.
I'm not going to post this in the RIP forum but I'll tell you here that I lost my eldest brother last month --my favorite brother out of three. He always treated me with kindness. He was a Preacher man and he was true. I drove to Toledo Ohio and I enjoyed the trip a lot. I followed my brother-in-law who carried three of my sisters. I didn't want anyone riding with me because I took the time to do a little 'me' time. And I had a room alone when we got there. Glad I did because by the time we returned to Georgia two of my sisters weren't speaking! Ha!
I'm sorry to post this here but . . .I don't think you'll mind.
My brother was very much loved. His funeral was four hours long and let me tell ya' dem folks got the 'Holy Ghost'! I've never seen such a lively funeral. Afterwards I spent time with my niece and my nephew. We went out and had a blast! I will be making another trip soon because the drive was wonderful and the countryside is beautiful.
I doubt it would have been enjoyable if one of my sisters rode with me! Ha!
Hey have you got your copy yet?
