Going to visit a good friend in a nursing home. I had hip replacement surgery last year and the "doctor" really screwed it up. Long story short, new doctor, eight surgeries and almost a year in nursing home/rehab facility before I could actually walk. Only have to use a cane now, but I still go and visit regularly to see people that I miss. Should be a good day!!
I am sure they great appreciate your kindness in visiting them. Nursing homes and rehab centers can be very lonely for some patients. Sorry to hear about the issue with you hip replacement.
Friday the twelfth, phew! I don't have dodecaphobia luckily, but I'm learning more about paraskevidekatriaphobia.
I have plans to hold my book (dare not say read out loud), maybe drive later, and take Sammy to the groomer. Swimming is always on the agenda. Meanwhile, I have a ton of housework, Alex needs attention, my mom needs help with a bazillion laborious tasks, and I have to find a place to live by September. Earlier if I had my druthers.

Today...the kiddo is behaving slightly better than usual (please dear God don't let me have jinxed it by posting that!) and I am relaxing.
Later, making cheeseburgers for dinner, then sundaes for dessert.
I'm also seriously contemplating making Christmas cookies soon (I blame KRF for putting the idea into my head on the "This or That" thread).

I have worked my fanny off today. I think I have all my jobs done so I can do nothing tomorrow. It'll be my first real day off in a long, long time. I'm even going to turn my phone off. The kids can call the Ogre with their tragedies.
Got a new computer, and have been all day getting all my stuff back. I have a few more things to get back up, and I'll be done. It has been fun searching for all my stuff.
I had a pan under the refrigerator to catch water, and I didn't take my phone out of my shirt pocket, down to the floor it went, splat, grabbed it, wiped it off and now it currently sits in a pot of rice until morning ..... That's not my whole day, but boy what a way to cap it off. Before that, I picked up a BLT sandwich from Arby's .....
I'm going to watch Desperation, just got it for $6 on ebay. I read the book WAY back when it was first published, and Collie really scared me a lot. I happened to see a trailer for it on youtube and Ron Perlman looks like a great Collie!! Now all I need is the popcorn and the Goobers!!
