I was hoping someone here could tell me!

I've seen interesting looking "stick-insects" before, but this one definitely was the coolest.

...I think, from what I could find-they're just called "leaf insects".....don't know if I'm right-but maybe it's a start to identifying....

I had planned to do the pilgrimage today (it's Monday here) to the path of totality at the place of a dear friend and colleague.

Since I'm about 7,000 miles away, it doesn't seem likely that I'm going to make it there. Dang. I really wanted to see it, but I'm not because of money and travel.

So in the spirit of not being at the Total Eclipse, here's the Virtual Video of Total Eclipse (of the Heart) that's not really the Total Eclipse (of the Heart).

This one doesn't get old for me. It's always hilarious.

Went to Petco to get a bag of food for Brody Dog. Got him a toy made out of ballistics grade canvas. He chewed the face off of it in about 20 minutes....

Thanks! I'm really excited....my old subaru was 14 years old and had quite a bit of rust from driving in all the salt in the winter months. Yep, all wheel drive is a necessity here in winter, I imagine AWD comes in handy for y'all, too.....or do you just plow right through?

Yup - since I got that 97 Cherokee, which I miss a lot actually, I've stuck with 4 wheel drive

six flags this morning, tonight, a performance by someone named Tyler Hilton at a bar i guess? someplace that offers live music anyway. never been there, never heard of him, but a friend invited me and it's only 20 bucks, so why not.
