Oh, thank goodness! I'm not familiar with that type of fish and my first thought went to the mullet hairstyle and thinking that can't possibly be right or it's a joke. That's what should be done with a mullet, but still had to be a joke.

Hilarious!! Nope, the only mullets I have seen lately is Eugene's in repeats of The Walking Dead!! The fish is an acquired taste I guess...there's a little hole in the wall shack on Treasure Island that has the best ever, it's been there for probably 40 years or more, but I live pretty far away now and haven't had it in years!! And now it's all I can't think about!!

Recap of the last 4 days:

Friday - worked, entertained kids and cooked at the same time. Finished packing for vacation. Left at 5pm, drove from Staten Island, NY to Fredericksburg, VA.
Saturday - Drove from Fredericksburg, VA to Hilton Head Island, SC. Stopped for Lunch in Fayetteville, NC.
Sunday - Went to Coastal Discovery Museum, pool and relaxed for the most part.
Monday - Took kids to Pirate treasure hunt cruise, pool, miniature golf (my younger one face-planted and now has a busted lip), pool again.

We're hitting the beach tomorrow, then probably more island exploring and the pool, of course.

Sounds like a very relaxing holiday :heheh:

Having a sad morning. I need to start getting ready for a quick trip to NYC to see the Dresden Dolls. I'm also going to hit the pool for the first time this year to start on getting my swimming up to par for a divemaster certification, which I must do before I can get an instructor's certification. I haven't tried to swim since I had surgery on my elbow in January, but it has healed well, and I'm looking forward to being back in the water! Meanwhile, I am doing what I do best: procrastination.
Good to see you back again. Preaching to the choir here with procrastination. I've got it down to a science.

My father had a smoker too!
That is hilarious (smoked mullet):snicker:
The smell of smoked trout, bass, or just about anything brings back the most vivid memories! Kids would ask about the smell emanating from the smoker in October. I'd just reply "Oh, that's just my dad smoking fish", perplexing them further.
"Whoa, wait a minute, your dad smokes fish?"

Well it looks like I either need to learn how to work the smoker or head back to Treasure Island for smoked fish!! My request has been vetoed by the rest of the family, I'm the only one who wants smoked fish (except for maybe my cat!).

Dresden Dolls envy! I've been following Amanda Palmer's tweets and FB, and it looks like it's going to be a great show :)

Hope you get some rest soon. I'm attributing the lack of sleep to your confusing Sally Struthers with Sally Field of "you like me, you really, really like me" infamy. :smile2:

Worked.

Interesting day. Got an IM from one of my bosses asking if I was available to talk. I figured I was in trouble for something. I went over to his office and it turns out that One of our mid- west districts wants to offer me a position out there. I would have to relocate and pay my own relocation expenses. It was all I could do to not burst out laughing. I gave him a a polite "let me think it over". There's no way in heck I would consider moving to the mid-west. Not without exhausting all possible options on the east coast first. Nice to be considered, I guess.....
