So far today I got up

Yeah - I know - not a great feat, however I could easily have stayed in bed.

Tomorrow I work the 4 to 11 shift at work.

Must get over to the Kildonan Place Mall to pick up my TripTik from CAA

Then I will probably take out some American money and start packing a suitcase.

Still have to do laundry as well.

I did make a lovely soup and I put some fresh garlic in it, so I'm hoping it will act as a natural antibiotic to cure what ails me.

((Neesy)) Take care of yourself. When are you supposed to leave for your trip? I hate to think you have to drive a long way when you aren't feeling well.

Thanks - we depart early Sunday morning so I'm hoping to kill this virus or whatever is affecting me before then - might pop in to a walk-in clinic to see what the doctor thinks.

Worked.

On the train home now.

Brody Dog walk after dinner.

Watch the Sox game later. Sox win + Yankee loss tonight= AL East title.

However, considering how the Sox have played this year I would not be surprised if the title is undecided going into Sunday...

Under your bed
I'm actually still at work right now, kicked back with feet up, smoking, chatting with you cats. Overtime, just to soak clink blocks at fifteen minute intervals. Little five by five blocks of pine, toss forty or so in the vat, wait 15, remove and repeat. All by myself. Easy money, snowflake.

Gotta go do another load. Hope this place ain't haunted.

I got up at 5 AM and at 5.15 I was on my way to the convenience store to buy wet food for my cat, since that`s her breakfast time - whenever I get up.
My wife forgot to buy some yesterday, so I already had a pretty interesting walk in a pretty cold morning, half asleep, bouncing from one tree to the other.

Worked til 8pm. Stopped off on way home to pick up a few beers and now I'm posting here while I'm meant to be reading lol
Anyway, hope all you Constant Readers have a nice weekend.
Gonna get back to The Eyes of The Dragon. Great tale btw :encouragement:
Eyes of the Dragon is one of my favourites - it has such a great fairy tale feel to it :joyous:

Where are your going!
Well according to my TripTik we cross the border into Minnesota and spend the first night in Duluth at the Holiday Inn;

then it's off to St. Ignace, Michigan where we'll stay one night at a hotel Andy and I spent some time at back in 2014, on the return trip from the King Kon in Ohio.

Unfortunately we can't dawdle there but must carry on towards Toronto.

Should be crossing the border from Detroit into Windsor, Ontario by Tuesday, so depending on what time we cross over, might spend one more night in that area and then leave early the next day for the final leg of our journey.

My sister actually lives north of T.O. in a place called Richmond Hill.

The CAA guy was quite helpful but forgot to give me the return TripTik back, so I had to go back in and mention it to him.

You'd think you could just follow the original one backwards, but it's not that easy, so he printed me up another one, basically the same route.

I figure on the return trip we can be a bit more relaxed. If we are not back by Canadian Thanksgiving (oh well) we'll just eat a nice meal at a good restaurant along the way.

I even got on the phone with my sister and she advised not to take the 407 as it's a toll road, but just go on the 404 to the 401.

I'm still getting some weird 'premonition' type feelings about this trip and I don't know why. Hopefully it's just a bit of anxiety.

My Mom, who was a big believer in ghosts, superstitions, old wive's tales and all that Scottish eery stuff, would probably tell me to cancel the trip - just had a dream where this guy tried to steal our car but when he went to drive it away it was upside down
:dunno:
By the way, I bought some Buckley's cold and flu medication for both day and night time, plus some Sucrets and also two bottles of cough suppressant.

It just seems like there is still so much to get done, plus I have to work the 2:30 to 10 p.m. shift tonight!

:add:
This is me counting up all the stuff still not done :nope::m_shy:
