My little gathering went well this evening. We had a lot of fun, and I didn't pass out from anxiety.
Here's a pic of how the pumpkin carving turned out.....

Scary event on this Halloween day. There was a package left at the emissions building marked bomb. The road was shutdown and parts of the interstate. My husband works just down the road from this place. Called him no answer. He called back shortly afterwards. Turns out it was not a bomb. Wow what a way to start of your day. No big plans. just passing out candy tonight.

finished the job on singing sands road, got paid, loaded up, headed home. customer was very pleased with my work, always a plus, and had nothing but praise...said he'd keep me in mind for future projects. now i'm off to the bush after stopping off at the bank. i hear a tree calling me. work work work. time for some down time. a friend took my wife to the doc down marquette today...so i didn't miss another day of work. she's healing. all is well and all manner of things are well. i feel like i'm coming around the clubhouse turn at pimlico...nothing but net. yeah, confused, too. happy halloween.

Are you saying that any spilled blood would be on your hands?

MACBETH
     Whence is that knocking?
How is ’t with me when every noise appals me?
What hands are here? Ha! They pluck out mine eyes.
Will all great Neptune’s ocean wash this blood
Clean from my hand? No, this my hand will rather
The multitudinous seas incarnadine,
Making the green one red.

Don't go giving Sunny any ideas. :)

worked on a bath remodel, tore out a built-in cabinet behind the tub, a lower and an upper, made from 2x4 material, one-by, had a formica top. customer wanted to give it to a lady out gay so we pulled nails and stacked the pieces in the basement. then i tore out the vanity and top, saved the faucet 'cause the customer wanted to reuse that in the new pedestal sink, put the vanity and top in the basement with the other stuff. bathroom has tongue & groove cedar on the wall floor to about four feet high. customer thought it should be ripped out. i said why, we can sand it down...which we did, or adam did while i was goofing off. old galvanized pipes. what a nightmare. this new pex is nice but you still have to tie in to the old. had to put shut-offs on the feeds for the vanity as there were none present. couldn't quite get the hot just right. turn the main back on...water seeping out, and yeah, nice, dripping through the ceiling tile below on the first floor. had to run to the hardware for a couple shut-offs. now i had to run home, get some tools i didn't think i'd need today, head back, do plan b. fiddle with the hot feed again, put some teflon tape on the threads, tighten everything up...i turn the water back on tell adam to holler if he sees water where we don't want it. all to the good. we take lunch.

come back in...and yes. you bet. not a rainy tuesday but the hot feed decides it needs to spray ever so delicately the wall behind the tub. lady of the house is setting out tupperware containers. you ever read snuffy smith? that comic strip from yay back? anyway, finally get it fixed and we start on the durock for the floor...already pulled the toilet, set that aside for later when we (i) get the tile floor down and grouted, tomorrow and tomorrow. setting in a tree two hours before full dark all i could think was...go ahead phone, vibrate. i dare you. but it didn't vibrate so i hope the hot feed held up. old plumbing is a nightmare, truly. should work out by the time it is done and got news i'm finally getting my vinyl siding on thursday been waiting 'bout a month...that and a 7-window order. will put two wall cabinets behind the tub in that corner to the left of the new pedestal sink...they wanted more room (12") and the wall cabinets are a foot less in depth than the base. so. will put a top on the lower, have a space between and mount a wall cabinet above for towels and such. hickory. the cabinets. what else? phone. no calls. good thing. the hot held. looks like i get to replace a few ceiling tile on the job, too. whud ya gonna do?
