Although I can identify with many, it occurred to me I have things in common with the Robinsons, a couple on Harriet's "spy route" in Louise Fitzhugh's Harriet the Spy. The way they related to people was by purchasing items they considered really neat, and then inviting people over to show them the things, to which I can totally relate.
