That not all of you old people are boring ;;D

Seriously though, I have learnt that it is actually possible to find *gasp* nice people on the internet, something that, prior to joining, I thought was practically impossible. Never, ever, ever, ever would I have thought that I could find a place as good as this.

Have you learned anything new from being on the message board?...
What blunthead has learned via being an SKMB member...

1. A little more about punctuation; where commas, semi-colons, and other pesky grammar items belong and don't.

2. How to post videos and images on a website.

3. How to be tolerated on a website.

4. That it's necessary for a message board to be moderated.

5. The meaning of "British".

6. How to explain my username.

7. How to spell "Shining".

8. How to post enough consecutive music videos to induce a site policy change.

9. That I'm sometimes too vague, obscure, and obtuse.

Tolerated? PSSSHH! Welcomed and cherished, more like.

I think you're pretty swell DiO'Bolic , but I stay out of the political threads. I'm ill equipped for that kind of conversation.

Like hipmamajen I don't know where to start.

I learn something new everyday; and I can't imagine starting my day without checking on y'all first. Here's my morning: around 6:15am start water boiling, unload dishwasher, make coffee (in a French Press, that's why I have to boil the water), check bank account, emails, calendar. It takes 4 mins for coffee to be done in the press, that's about how long to check on the other things, and then ahhhh..... coffee and SKMB.

I know where to go when the Zombie Apocalypse hits.

I see, you're a primary phlegmatic.

Good God - yes, I am but how did you deduce that?
Only a phlegmatic can deal with a bank account first thing in the morning.

blunthead #5.........;-D:wink:

I have to agree with what everyone has said--I've learned the most kind, caring, empathetic and intelligent group of people.
Admittedly, as a member of a couple of social media sites, it shocks and saddens to see some of the cruel and horrible things people post out there. Social networks can be a vicious place.
Don't experience that here--it's nice to go to a place and be accepted--talking about SK, books, movies, TV--anything in general. It's refreshing to see, especially on the "internet."
SKMB is an awesome place--every SKMB member is so great and welcoming :)
