Well, his last name does look like "Knig" when he signs it, the Stephan is usually a little less obvious though. :biggrin2:

And then I'd give it to my sister. That might sound ungrateful to many of you, but, my sister has loaned me a lot of books. Also, she was much more in to collecting hardcover SK books than I ever was. I think an autographed book would mean a lot more to her, so I would give it to her.

The reason I would pick this book is, she adored Kennedy. The date 11/22 has a lot of meaning to her. And her husband reads everything he can about the Kennedy assassination. This may have been his first King book, I'm not sure. So, combine all that, and this would be the appropriate book to get signed for her,

I've been fortunate enough to attend several signing events over the years and my favorite items to get signed are books that I bought decades ago when they were first released. Fortunately, I kept most of them over the years. So I've got Christine, Cujo, It, Firestarter, and The Shining all signed in person. I have a first edition of Thinner that's next on the list. The new books are not quite the same since that feels more like an assembly line process with everyone having the identical book.

I guess my dog eared hardback copy of IT..though a signature doesn't really mean that much to me..don't care about the worth money wise..I would just like to look him in the eye once and thank him,for all the moments, the words, the thoughts he has shared and made ours..just a handshake, that is all I would like, and hope he understands how much he is appreciated..
That is exaclt what I'd like to do. With my copy of the extended copy of the Stand.
