Emarx, I see have a shot from Bergman's "The Seventh Seal" as you avatar.
That is one of my all-time favorite films.
Did ya ever notice when Death throws-open his shroud, early while on the beach, the actor stumbles ever so slightly, and...the string on the bird-kite is perceptible, also...it goes from night to day to night in the witch burning scene?
When Ed Wood does it he gets razed, when Ingmar Bergman does it he's a genius.
Methinks they both be geniuses.

I haven't noticed it, my guess is the Criterion editions I watch have probably had them edited out. But I will keep an eye out the next time I watch it. Thanks!

He is one of the luckiest singers alive--doesn't sound much different in his 60s than in his 20s. George Michael's new one is much the same. They missed that loss of vocal range that so many men go through as they age. Beautiful.

Sexton wrote this when his mom asked him why all his songs were so damn sad--never fails to make me feel happy. I like this live version, but the album is good too--fuller sound
