Been stuck in my head for days. Not the Otis Redding version (which is excellent, BTW) but Ike and Tina's version, that down-n-dirty version, wow...

Saw Ike and Tina perform that one on a documentary called Rock City the other day--great flick featuring all sorts of rock acts popular in London during the late 60s, early 70s. Man, they sing that song DIRTY, hoo boy. Too dirty to try and post a video (go find it yer damn self). Really, the way Tina caressed that microphone...shudder...and her outfit! No kidding, some kinda see-thru mesh dress through which you could plainly see her 'thunder-domes' in all their jiggly glory...oh my stars and garters!

Ike gets a bad rap nowadays, as he probably should, but that's no reason not to dig The Ike And Tina Revue any chance you get. That stuff is gold, baby.
