I love this song.To gently ease us into the Christmas season, here is Joni Mitchell singing River.
Me too, DJ. Her voice is heavenly, and the song is so beautiful and sad.I love this song.
I remember my sister had that album when I was growing up! She was amazing. Do you remember a singer around that time named Helen Shapiro? I've got to go and look her up now. See if I can find the song I'm looking for.Surely one of the best female singing voices ever!!
Yep, I love Helen Shapiro, she has such a beautiful deep voice. I have a couple of her albums, 'You Don't Know' was the first song of hers released in 1961 when she was just 14, it shot straight to number one in the UK Hit Parade and is still one of my favourite records.I remember my sister had that album when I was growing up! Her name was Barbara Bouchet and it's from a movie "Milano Calibro 9"

haoheaohohaea!!! Steak knives of death aren't appreciated by the common man.@Dana Jean ok, we're doing the dishes and Tom is being "funny" at my expense...I look down to the steak knife in my hand and your awesome comment comes back to me...I poke him in the butt cheek with the tip. Hard enough to get a satisfying squeal out of him...not so hard as for it to not be funny...and tell him to "watch out for my steak knives of DEATH!".
He rolled his eyes and told me there is something wrong with me...none the less, I was well amused. Thanks!
