...it's raining and gloomy here today in Giantville, and maybe that's why I'm in somewhat of a melancholy mood. I ask the above question because so many of my old friends from the previous incarnation of the Board have never returned since the "switch"...folks have told me they migrated to Facebook, and that's fine-but it still hurts my heart that they don't drop by...some do infrequently, others not at all...most of my other family are here, present and accounted for-but still, I miss the likes of Srbo, PatriciaA, TennGolfer, Evil Queen and more...it's their life and their right-but I guess I just wanted to go on record as saying I miss them, and also how I treasure my friends here. It's a dark day, when I don't get the chance to let the light of your hearts illuminate my screen...thank you for befriending me and making my life much more fun and blessed....

I have met some wonderful people since joining so thank you guys. I also know that whenever I need a good laugh I just look for Scott's posts and the chuckle therapy commences. I didn't laugh at this one Giant, just think it's awesome. I wish I had come to these boards a long time ago.

We've lost alot of them to the 'Devil's Playground' or 'Satan's Sandlot' or 'Pazuzu's Park'- a.k.a. Facebook. :flat: I'm with you, Scott, it hurts that alot of them haven't even bothered to 'check in' with us occasionally. It makes me.........sad..... But, I'm still here and I'm not going to go to the Dark Side! Thank you All for letting me share in your daily triumphs and the dreaded daily bad-gunky's, too. I just wanna give you All great big bear hugs, so hard you can't take a breath!! WE ARE KA-TET!!!

I'm going to share a quote from Dean Koontz:

"Life is a train ride, and at the many stations along the route, many people important to us debark, never to board again, until by the end of our journey, we sit in a passenger car where most of the seats are empty."

I'm not sure what book it's from, possibly one of the Odd Thomas ones? But, it hit me like a ton of bricks when I read it so I wrote it down and keep it on my fridge.

Always good to hear from you sir. I avoid Facebook like the plague. I have no use for it. This is the only forum I've ever signed up for and most likely will remain so. Tell your son to watch his six and tell him we appreciate him.

I'm sorry you're feeling blue. I'm glad you're still my friend from the od board and I hope the blues go away soon.

Not especially a Koontz fan, but that is very true and honest and a good way of looking at life.

Update on PITH:

I stepped outside to gather the mail and missed his call. His minutes are limited so I don't call back as he needs them for business calls.
He said both eyes are doing well and has 20/20 vision. Still dealing with the shoulder. Business is underway again.
A Happy Easter to all.
...what a poetic weekend for Patrick's "resurrection"....bless his heart...I miss my billhilly bro...

...ahh, I'm OK...this is a topic that bothers me everyday, but was gnawing on my emotions a bit more than normal today...those that I communicate with here, and those I have had the honor to meet are the best friends I've ever had...to paraphrase King-"Jesus Christ!...where else would I have friends like these?"...
