Yesterday I had some green fish and carrots after reading the thread in the Ka-Tet Indicant...thought the fish looked a bit undercooked...blue hake...but it all came out in the wash and I flushed 'er down! :eagerness: But yeah, you don't read too much about food kills. Maybe it's too iffy. Where ya been! :)
I did once read a story where a woman fed her husband t death. Nothing poison, just rich and sweet and loads of it.

I've heard that a small amount of polar bear liver is enough to kill, to overdose on something...vitamin A? Heard this in a nutrition class way back when...so someone offers you polar bear liver? You call Judge Judy. You take 'em to court! Take 'em for all they got. And get PETA involved. They have a swat team.

I better tell Andy in case he ever has to go to Churchill Manitoba (where the polar bears live). Right now he is in Nunavut and where he is, all they have are caribou, Arctic fox, muskox, Arctic hare etc.
oh yeah, and Arctic char as well out of Baker Lake (yummy!)

Yup, the polar bear's liver has toxic levels of vitamin A.

And the fish is the blowfish or, more accurately, the pufferfish. It's fugu in Japanese, and it's apparently easy to get the fish flesh poisoned, so the fugu chef has intensive training to keep that from happening.

I dunno. After experiences with buffets, I'm not feeling lucky, food-wise, enough to try it. If I'm going to risk my life, I'd rather it be through my own actions.

And my memory of the poison fish from entertainment media is an episode of the Simpsons. I don't remember it all that much, but apparently Homer didn't die.

...my ex-wife tripped over the carpet and damn near decapitated my parents with a platter of pork-chops...
You too, huh? I wonder how many of us have an ex-spouse? I always say it's best to get that first marriage out of the way early. Losing a platter of pork chops would be a deal breaker for me. I love pork and pork fat.

With my wife's cooking it's a wonder I'm not killed every night.
You stop that!
I once rinsed spaghetti sauce off of some ground beef and reused it for stroganoff - but I didn't have any cream of mushroom soup for the stroganoff, so I substituted French onion dip. Then I cooked the green beans with vinegar instead of the Italian dressing because I didn't have the Italian dressing. All of this insanity in the same meal. You should have seen his face. This was way early in our marriage -like 2 or 3 weeks into it, and he's still scared of me.
